win some lose some right? next garden will be better! and if you all have some ideas as to what I should try to grow over winter I would love some suggestions for zones 6-7!!!

you can grow anything that will mature before your first frost date and have room for fruit production between mature date and first frost. I am in 6b/7a (southern Missouri) and will be working out in the garden today

Fab positivity and forward thinking, think my pots will yield 2 tomatoes this year thats 1 better then last year, lettuce and herbs have had a good year though

Im sorry about your garden and the crappy weather. I wonder if you could put up some posts/framing around the garden and then get a shade cloth suspended over top(the kind that they use on high tunnels)? Also if you can get it try and mulch your garden heavily as it will hold in the moisture and stop evaporation. Another idea would be to make a few oiyas in the garden,they will allow a slow release of water.

Might try soaker hose, here in Dayton Ohio getting ready for not wanted heatwave, just going to water everyday, unbrellas, if I had a baby pool would set it up for animals, don't want animals to suffer!
