this seemed more of like a montage and a recap of the last two seasons than it was a "story of"; talking about his origins, how he grew up and when he started (like you guys usually do) would of been sweet
Showmaker and Chovy being constantly compared to each other since the start of their careers as potential prospects for best midlaner and Faker's heir is also such a cool storyline. With their entire careers going off different tangents and also their different playstyles. Their fans constantly blasting each other is also funny af.
The different with chovy and showmaker is "Canyon" The jungle himself. Same like early faker who have Bengi, Showmaker have Canyon who Arguably the best jungle in the world after Bengi Era
@@fvjxznvueaepd8u chovy had tarzan for one year as a new org, and they stomped that year. Man hasnt had any help since those griffin days, the best has been what, deft? Meanwhile dwg with 3 players in 2020 that were considered to be either #1 or #2 in their role
"Guys we're making a league of legends vid about ShowMaker" "But how do we put Faker into the title" "How about we clarify that we aren't talking about Faker in the title?" "Genius..."
Meh, this felt more like a rather sparse rundown of Damwon's history, rather than the story of Showmaker. Didn't even mention some of his most notable accomplishments like getting an account into KR Challenger playing 91 different champs one game each, or casually role swapping as ADC right in the middle of LCK Summer split. Not to mention big storylines that shaped his entire career, like his rivalry with Chovy or his solo carry struggle at MSI. TBH a pretty lazy video that spams Faker's name for hype.
I got a little disappointed because they didn’t talk about the best of 5 at worlds against faker, not gonna lie that’s one (if no the best) bo5 of this year
@@HeadGodoftheGodCouncil skt vs KT bullet was better and the EDGvsSKT in the MSI was better tho, know i think more the SKT vs RNG in the s7 was better too

Brightiest star that can Swallow all Odds with his Right Hand "Bengi". Even UZI was mark as The Crownless King. What if... Uzi was not at same Era as Faker? It would be great though. Many coincident & players that would mentioning Faker. He was truly a Legend, even he is kept being mentioned on other player's story. Caps, Uzi, Dopa, Ambition, And now Showmaker. Truly bless that Faker still here, to comeback and reclaim the top
@@RINODWIKIY funny thing is, all the League Development, Caster and Production teams consider faker as the goat and no one can beat his legacy especially during his rookie years. They literally look up to him at the best league player ever existed.
Nah, DK biggest mistake was losing Nuguri and replaced him with Khan.. DK would have won back to back World but Nuguri wasn't with DK in 2021. So closed to win 2nd title.
This is K'Sante, A champion with 4700HP, 329Armor, and 201MR. Has Unstoppable, a Shield, and goes over walls. Has Airborne, and the cooldown is only one second too, It cost 15 Mana. The W CD is even refreshed when he transforms. He has true damage on his Passive. Then, when he stacks Armor and MR, he gets Ability Haste too. Ability Haste to his Q, and his spell casting speeds up, and he has an AD ratio, so his W... RRRRRRRRRRRRR
It's hardly even a story of, more of just a recap and some of the info is pretty wrong. Nuguri and Showmaker was never the power couple, it was ALWAYS Showmaker and Canyon. Idk if anyone felt like DWG was consideribly weaker after Nuguri left when they got Khan instead, iirc most people felt like it was a VERY slight downgrade at best.
I think this would have similar story with the Tekken legend, “Knee” and Arslan. While Faker and Knee knows all round and have been on the stage for longer and gain the “Legend” title. Show maker and Arslan are the one of new generation where they show new play style which is more aggressive.
tylers also delusional because he loves faker so much, faker legit had bengi basically act as his "support" in the shadows during his prime t1 years, you just dont see showmaker be the front cover as much as faker once was because canyon is basically another carry, not someone supporting and glorifying the midlaner
12:27 giving me ptsd to that opening ceremony... I woke up at 3 am to watch that shit and I couldnt go back to sleep seeing the nightmare that was that ceremony
@@applejuice6921 they are, Chovy is undoubtedly the best mid laner. There was this graph comparing him to faker, showmaker and other LCK mid laners and he was dominating in most stats.
I think he is the first KR pros that got so beloved in EU SoloQ because of how he whined and grieved in the ladder. People looks so excited when found him in soloQ. Showmaker even told some stories about the legendary one-trick that he found in EU SoloQ And also about comparison with Faker, Kkoma (Faker's mentor) is his current coach so it is unavoidable that he got compared a lot with the legend.
The thing is League is team game. Skt 2013 , 15, and 16 had stacked line up with impact , marine, and duke top lane. Piglet / pooh, bang/ wolf at bottom lane . Smk only has canyon as his jgl with average line up. If canyon get the L in the jgl , smk hard to shine.
John Doe ghost / beryl 2020 is good but comparing Bang/ wolf prime time 15/16 they are nothing lol. When Skt win any title , ppl will say what a strong line up but for dk , 2020 is about nuguri and 2021 is smk the play maker and his jg caynon
True showmaker isn't faker there is no point in comparing both with one another as one is 4th world champion and another is one time burnt out world champion even showmaker agrees to it good for him.
You should do one on SEN Lou for apex legends. His story is one of the best ive heard. Ever since he was young he would play video games as much as he could to where he would play all night and morning then sleep in school. He knew ever since he was young he was going to be pro in gaming. His parents were never for it until the Poland LAN where Lou got 17th place i believe. Lou wanted to quit competing but his dad pushed him to keep going. Later down the line Lou won his first regional in october of 2020. His dad wanted to come over ASAP to celebrate. On the way to visit Lou, he passed in a car accident. Today Lou uses his father as motivation and is now a Top 3 team in apex legends for sure.
I just love how people just ignore the win of LPL and keep praising LCK and DWG in particular like nothing happened lmao, they lost and people keep talking like Showmaker and DWG just created a new dynasty or sth
I know right, even Chinese fans were disappointed in their region this year. Everyone was like "oh DWG will beat China again" everyone was so sure that DWG was going to win. Now DWg lost, its like unreal to them
@@jamildacalos6381 i have, but the overall media attention that EDG has was little to none, don't try to be smart here buddy, that vid had like only 60k views
Chovy Showmaker and faker is the top 3 mid laners imo, no one come close to them three. Now Chovy joined Gen G, I'm looking forward to them facing each other
over 3 minutes in the video the video actually starts, i get they need money but it really doesn’t feel good to watch anymore. please use ads selectively, in story video’s it feels bad to watch but others it sucks less.
Things aside Showmaker is such a cool ass ign . The first time i heard it i already got the feel to expect greatness from him though . Looking for Showmaker to build his legacy in future
Everytime there is rising midlaner they always get compared to Faker. Caps, Rookie, Doinb, Chovy and Showmaker. Even if you combine this 5 midlaners accolades they're still not close to Faker.
I'm going to say it ShowMaker is better than Faker. Faker got his titles in the past when competition was lower and people were worse. Getting title today is much more difficult, a lot more players are great. Faker was just ahead of his time. If prime Faker started playing today, he wouldn't win three Worlds.
well this is just a complete fallacy. The difference between prime Faker and current faker is the fact that Faker is practically 10 years into his career while showmaker has just begun, youre simply talking out of recency bias. Prime Faker was doing everything Showmaker was doing right now, before Showmaker even existed as a persona. His teamfighting is unmatched, his lane control and dominance is literally what chovy is replicating today, Faker was "chovy"ing before chovy even was a thing, and his carry potential is something Rookie learned from. If prime Faker from 2015-2017 was playing today, he would take every single midlaner and sweep them into the dirt. How are you gonna say Showmaker today is better than prime Faker when there is literally NOTHING Showmaker has done that is remotely close to that of which Faker has done, where is this moronic argument coming from? Even pure mechanically Showmaker doesnt have a single outplay or mechanical play that would even be considered top 20 in Faker's lists of plays. Your take is complete delusion. Xiahou was once one of the best midlaners in the world, he switched to toplane and is considered one of the best toplaners, Faker literally dumbstered him on several occasions. Rookie is still considered one of the best midlaners in LPL, several times beating the likes of Doinb and Knight, Faker Azir swept the entire worlds winning IG lineup into the dirt. Just as recent as 2019 Faker was solokilling Showmaker under his own tower in an assasin vs assasin matchup. And in 2020 at worlds, Faker was consistently playing for his sidelaners AND STILL was ahead of Showmaker is practically every statistic. And all this is despite the fact that Showmaker is playing with arguably the best jgler of all time, while Faker has never had a teammate that was consistently outperforming him on any stage. There is 0 similarity between these two. You have a better chance comparing Showmaker to current Faker, who puts more value into guiding his teammates as a leader and shotcaller, than the mechanical demon that was 2017 faker. Ill remind you that 2017 Worlds Faker is to this day the single greatest solo carry performance league of legends has ever seen, Showmaker doesnt come close to an inch of that.
@@qGods I am not taking away Faker's legacy he was best in the past, no one can argue that. But his opponents were fucking worse you can't tell me that you don't agree with that. If Showmaker went to 2013 he would be on same level as Faker if not better. Just be reasonable mate, turn off that fanboy mentality and think with your head. Faker was greatest when people were trash. Faker in today's standards is just regular player.
But Faker created a legacy. Thats something Showmaker will never do. And dont count Faker out just yet, T1's performance this year was great, and with some more practice and experience I wouldnt be too surprised of a win
Showmaker has only 1 international title. He didn't even win the following worlds and not even the the msi after lol. How can you say showmaker is better than faker when faker at showmaker's age already had many international titles under his belt. Faker during his prime was absolutely dominating his opponents in the mid lane. While showmaker is talented, he rarely showed the level of prime faker's domainance on his opponents during both worlds and msi. Showmaker even lost to cryin who was considered one of the weakest laners in the lpl and at MSI 2021.
@@Richard-tz9oe Do titles only matter? Chovy never won anything and people consider him one of the best. I'm saying that if current Showmsker played back than, Faker wouldn't be impressive.
