I just love your craft space, its so cute and cozy. I've been cutting out a quilt by hand with a template, the old fashioned way, and I've been finding fabrics in my stash that I don't even remember buying, so I get it when you say you're finding things you didn't know you had. Lol I am truly blessed too. I'm so glad I collected fabrics for about 40 years, and I can now make something awesome with it all. 🪡🧵🙌🥰Blessings to all.❤

Good morning sweet Tessie ♥ When we were getting ready to move after we bought our house I had to downsize about 2/3 or maybe even 3/4 of my stuff. The house we bought was full of stuff from 2 previous owners plus 3 outbuildings and a 30 ft fifth wheel that was left! Before I could unpack I had to go through what was there. I was able to replace some things I left behind but there was a lot of stuff and not really any storage area. We still have a room upstairs that is full of boxes we haven't unpacked yet! We need to build more storage in the house. We have a arctic entry where we have a chest freezer and a shelf we brought with us. We want to put built in shelfs in it then I can unpack the rest of my kitchen appliances and dishes! It is a work in progress!

You are a very blessed woman. Like you said, you have created a doll house, and it is adorablethat Ken is on board with all this. You certainly have earned this though Tessie. One of the biggest factors I saw in you when I first saw your enthusiasm. It was like you were opening a door in me that had been locked for many many years. I was so appreciative of that as I so badly needed that door opened. I needed an outlet as I had been care giving for my daughter and mom who was dying of cancer. So you and your sweet innocent personality helped pull that out of me. You showed me how to enjoy my days by reserving certains times I could craft. Time for Gail. Your home Tessie has taken such a drastic change. I see why you are not going to jump into a small online shop just yet. Take time to really enjoy your new spaces and improvements. Life is short my sweet friend.

@pr9764 Thank you Andrea for such a sweet sweet response. My mother passed in 2006. It was a trying time balancing my young children and mom. Would I do it all again? Yes in a heartbeat. I was determined to keep her out of a nursing home and by the grace of God I was able to do this. I have a wonderful husband that supported me 100% which really helped. Hubby has been rebuilding an outbuilding for me to put a lot of my things in. It is taking a while for it to get done due to weather and him recovering from surgery! We had a lot of building supplies in our house when we bought it. We have boxes of faux tin ceiling tiles and I will be using them as an accent wall. And boxes of flooring amongst other things! He is going to make a window seat area built in with storage underneath and I was reuse the couch cushions from the couch which was left. Like you said use what you have right! Then I will declutter lots of things in the house to decorate and furnish it! And I will finally be able to unpack the bedroom upstairs maybe lol!

There is a child in all of us. I always wanted girly pink dresses when I was a little girl and one night I had a dream that the key of my dad's that I fell asleep with that I got up in this dream and used that key to open a door thar revealed a beautiful bedroom all in pink and beautiful frilly dresses. I was so at peace in that dream. I still love what people call today cottage core dresses. Dresses and skirts make me feel so feminine. I love what your doing with your Little House! I really like how everything looks in there.❤

Tessie, it looks so fun! I'm fascinated by the idea of how to heat and cool it. In Illinois, I would have a problem with mold in the summer, because of the humidity. Is there a window so you can get some ventilation if the big door is closed?

Still, have some mice traps, just in case, since we loss our cat, we have rats coming back we used her used litter along our fence it helped but just yesterday hubby found rat poo, in the engine of our truck, so I'm going to spray mint in the engines , and have a mint plant tucked in the driveway, also Regular Irish Spring soap on the tires, and in the engines,mice, rats hate that smell.
