Van life this time of year in Andalucia - Spain is tough, it's too hot, too busy and really not good if you have dogs either! .. We're on a van life trial run after just finishing our van build whilst we wait for a final appointment down here.. All is good with the van but finding places to park and trying to escape this heat is pretty impossible.. We're on the Costa de la Luz, highly recommend this place but out of season is much better for #vanlife !

Guys the best thing to get the sappy stuff off is any kind of oil then a good wash with hot soapy water , great vlog, went shopping the other day and it was 42c.. time to do nothing! Not complaining ha ha.. have a great week!

Great vlog.....Hope Nick and Charlie are ok 🙏💚 . Just an observation on the feng shui of the van.... if you can, cut out the circles/ holes into a neat squared frame on the doors and add a rattan or Hessian panel instead.....The headache inducing circles are not good FS and may encourage spots, rashes and growths. Smooth lines and calming decor would be far better. 🌷🌷🌷

Yeah here further north they are on beach until midnight y beyond...used to be able to let my mutt off after 9.30pm until mid july ....now not possible. I agree about temperature....nauseous/dripping with sweat etc. .vive la france and aires eveywhere...loads of small villages. I'm a plate y bowl licker👍

Our swimming pool when I was growing up in Australia was under the eucalyptus trees - the leaves in the pool where you were brought back such memories! Bloody hundreds of Gum tree leaves in the pool!!! 🤣

Please google pine trees. They are highly flammable. You are sleeping in a tinder box if the weather is very hot avoid pine forests. x

The hear T is certainly hard to deal with. Here in Utah, it got up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday, which is over 40 degrees Celsius.

Great vid as always. Shade vs sun is tricky in a van isn’t it. We were in Ibiza a month ago and the site was all in shade so our solar was almost useless. That said, I agree, when the temps are getting high you need to be out of the sun so…! Anyway, happy travels 😊

Hola Amigos, we often looked out for grave yards which often had large trees outside although we rarely travelled in the high season/temps of summer. Much preferred autumn, winter and spring. Enjoy and keep safe xxx

You do all the work and we get to share in the fun, soooooo thank you!!!!! Your shake down trip went pretty well, we had a van many years ago and on our shake down we ended up rescuing our friends in the backup vehicle that came with us. We have many pictures of our adventures and we were the only ones in the camps on many occasions, it tough now with all the people and the heat. You still find some really nice isolated places and it's fun to hike along and see the beautiful scenery. Looking forward to more fun enjoying all the tr[ps we have yet to travel as you generously share your time with all of us. huggies and kisses for the dogs and peace and love to both of you.🐶

We are out and about at the moment, we started in north Yorkshire, then spent four days in Budle Bay Northumbria, I love it there beautiful sands and clear seas, dogs allowed all year round you can take kyaks etc, we stay on a field which belongs to a farmer straight on the beach literally one minute, it's great. We are now on the beautiful shores of Loch Ness in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, for a few days then next is we don't know yet. Lovely to see you on your travels. Hope Charlie is OK bless him love to you all.

Good luck, Nick...I hope all goes well at the doctor's. So...I was laughing when you described missing your flight because it's pretty much the only way I travel! 😂 Many misses and near misses, that is for sure. Well...your first real shakedown trip is behind you and it's just great to see you all in the van....such a nice home base! And although you don't have a/c in the living area, I think you have 8t in the cab, yeah? So, it's nice that the four of you can get a reprieve from the heat while driving. Please carry on your van tour of southern Spain and putting the names up on screen is super helpful. We wiull be there for the whole of September, so cooler and quieter. Nick, you need to rest up, being the ideas man is hard work, I should know :)

I did think Charlie was looking a bit off. Your new van has ac, right? He seems to be the most affected by heat of the four of you. I've had to move my wee princess to the front seat so the ac cools her off quicker. I am relocating to the mountains soon myself looking for lower temps. Stay in the shade, drink lots of water, make sure the doggies are hydrated as well.

If you find the camping expensive you should search more information about the regulations and fines for illegal camping on natural sites that are most probably under some sort of ambiental protection. In Spain a table or a chair outside is camping and not allowed unless in designated areas. Fines depending on the kind of site can go to 5002eur. Cheers.

Ok.. We’ve been wild camping in Spain (and all over Europe actually) for the last 8 years.. Never have we been fined and we regularly have guardian civil / police driving by… There is MUCH, Much worse stuff going on and people committing real crimes that the police should be taking care of, we pay our taxes here, we pick up other people’s trash here and we respect the locals and others around us, do the police really care if someone has a camping chair outside of their van whilst they sit peacefully and have a meal.. I don’t think so!! Thanks so much for watching..😉
