In fall of 2021, I set off on a bikepacking trip from Calais, Maine. 29 days and 3,000 miles of incredible experiences later, I reached Key West, Florida! Here is my story :)
Want some bike artwork? Visit www.reginayan.me/donate to give to the East Coast Greenway and get a thank-you gift from me!
Listener beware, I did not do a good job with sound editing and the music is way too loud

My favourite part of this was when you showed you have friends in half the cities on the eastern seaboard, and then still described yourself as an introvert. Also, great work, this is legitimately really impressive

As a long distance cyclist for over 50 years, I was deeply touched by this video. Well done - it communicates what bike touring is all about: “The sights, the sounds and the way you feel, when the world expands from a spinning wheel” (from a poem I wrote after one ride in 1974) I highly recommended reading “The Handsomest Man In Cuba”, a very entertaining account of Lynette Chiang’s solo bike ride around Cuba.

I do a fair amount of bike touring and I'm trying to figure out "what's next" (I did the Pacific Coast in fall 2022, and Lands End, England to John O'Groats, Scotland May of '22; I've also done Oregon to Boston and New Orleans to Canada in the past). I'm 66 years old (and very extroverted!) and your video has really helped me want to do the Easy Coast Greenway!! I'm quite impressed by your mileage too! (PS - I've never seen the sunrise on a bike tour...). Thank you for sharing.

And thank you for watching -- I didn't really go into this, but I bike commuted to work which was ~20 miles a day, so I did have a solid base leading up to the trip even without any specific prep. Great video. Our two experiences were very similar to each other. After graduation from UCLA in 1991 I drove with friends to Lewiston, ME and set off by myself to Miami, FL. I camped, stayed at fleabag hotels, and stayed with friends. I met my girlfriend in Washington D.C. and almost decided to finish. Continuing on, the southern part was harder because of not knowing anyone. The longest day I did was 95 miles. I did 2,000 miles in 40 days (30 days of riding and 10 days off) In 2012 I rode from Madawaska, ME to Lewiston, ME and still need to ride down to Key West. The amount of miles that you did was simply amazing. Great Job.
