I never really listened to the sound of that instrument until you posted videos of it. I'm surprised by how well it sounds. I wonder if it would add to music like Mancini's Baby Elephant Walk or Pink Panther? Maybe the carefree kind of jazz? I'm not an expert on jazz but the old happy stuff. Very good review. Thanks.
thank you so much! Ha, I remembered the days when I conducted the children's "orchestra" at the university - and we were just performing Baby Elephant Walk! There were the simplest instruments - harmonicas, recorders, a lot of percussion, children's xylophones and so on... Now I think that a ukulele bass would fit in there :) I like both Baby Elephant Walk and Pink Panther. I think it will be fun to make new arrangements!
