I haven’t ready any of these books, but I’m sorry that’s such a bummer this month! Hopefully July goes better. I’m sure Robin Hobb won’t disappoint. I just finished the Way of Kings this morning, and I think I’m going to start a Shirley Jackson book, but then I might read Hunger of the Gods.

Ooh, after The Way of Kings, do you feel like you’ll finish the series?

@@TiffanyRussell yes! I loved it! I don’t know why I was surprised by how much I loved it? I guess I was just so put off by the length I thought it would be too much, but I love a slow burn and I thought the length did so much for characters, world building and a nice slow build up. I ordered a copy of words of radiance! If I’m lucky I’ll make it through them by book five lol! I think my favorite POV was Shallan’s. My favorite characters were Renarin and Jasnah, though I really liked Kaladin and Delinar too. The only think I struggled with was the setting. He did a great job at world building but the world felt so alien to me. I do like some traditional fantasy elements in my books. I remember feeling like. What if these chasmfiends were dragons instead. But the story telling was so good that it didn’t matter later. And that’s really just my taste anyway, has nothing to do with the quality of the book.

@@Fenrir.reads.fantasy I think the characters are the best part about it and everything else is just good extra. As far as the setting, because the first book was so long, you’ve now been on Roshar long enough that by the second book it will feel familiar. But you’re right, it is very different.

@@TiffanyRussell yes I definitely agree with that! I adored all the characters and I can’t wait to get to know them better.

Nice! Having four favorites is awesome. I hope the rest of your summer reading goes just as well.
