PM Trudeau levelled serious allegation against India over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Nijjar in Canada. In his speech to the House of Commons, Trudeau highlighted “potential link” between Indian govt and the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. However, India has strongly rejected PM Justin Trudeau’s “absurd and motivated” claims. Hours after his allegation sparked a massive diplomatic storm, PM Trudeau made another statement. In a conversation with Reuters, the Canadian President said that “they are not trying to provoke India”. However, he stressed that “India needs to take this matter with the utmost seriousness”. Justin Trudeau’s statement not only put India-Canada ties on the ice but also sparked a massive global outrage. World leaders including, the US, UK, and Australia have already expressed their deep concern accusations made by Canadian PM. The Canadian government had expelled an Indian diplomat over allegations of the country's involvement in the killing of the Khalistani terrorist. In a tit-for-tat move to Canada expelling a senior Indian diplomat, India expelled a senior Canadian diplomat to India.
