Thank you for the timeplase. I have a question, why is it that the Russian civil war always stalemates without any units attempting to advance. Is this a bug?
The world of this timeline is very interesting. WWII just drags on deep onto the 1950s, more than a decade after Hitler's defeat as Russia and the West fight on and off gain campaigns against each other. Meanwhile, Japan has established itself as the hegemon of South Asia and America brodes as an isolationist power. This timeline's war means WWII was a total victory for democracy in Europe while Japan is the superpower in the East. The Cold War in this timeline would be an expanded EU/NATO from the Atlantic to the Urals vs. the Japanese bloc with the fault line running through the Caucacus mountains. I love how Paradox Interactive Games create emergent narratives. Ukraine for example was spared the horrors of communism and was an outpost of democracy in eastern Europe, only to become a bloodland between Germany and Russia and later the Allies and Russia.
@@afisto6647 Yeah, the French and Russian population will likely experience total demographic implosion in this timeline due to the staggering deathtoll. Part of the reason this lasted so long is because the US stayed neutral in WWII. In timelapses they are usually able to open numerous fronts and quickly destroy a badly attrited Soviet Union if war occurs after Germany is defeated. Another thing that would enhance these timelapses is enhancing the visibility of nuclear weapons use. They are usually employed by the AI in wars after 1945, but are invisible on the zoomed out map.
