Thanks grobiegirl4ever for posting this. I love Josh's version of this song and the other versions have such bad quality sound that they dont do his voice justice. It is soooo soothing. Great pictures to. Thanks babe.
Fantastic song from Sweeney Todd. The new Tim Burton film with Johnny Depp playing Sweeney is fantastic. And the little boy who sings the song in the film is awesome.
I feel so...safe when he sings this. I loved this song before I even realized it was from Sweeney Todd, and Josh singing it just makes my love of this song complete. :D
Damn it! Why is ever since I reached the max favorites I keep finding amazing videos I want to favorite! Anyway, he is amazing, (lol, plus we both have the first name), is there anything he can't sing?
I’d love Josh to record this song now. Although this is performed perfectly at that time of his life I doubt he’d had a great love yet and was, therefore unable to put the depth of emotion into it that he’d be able to do. Please record it Josh- the album is called Stages 2 with bonus tracks of film theme songs. It’ll sell out immediately! Te amo ❤️
@c0ronariu5 Actually it is not a song of one of his OWN albums, yet you can find it on the live-album "Barbara Cook on the met with special guests" :).
So true. It's almost always over-done, in my opinion. But other than that, it's a truly beautiful version of this song, despite him being a little older than the character, lol.
This version just proves my point that when this song is not sung by an eleven-year-old boy or a mentally handicapped, slightly insane person (Toby if you've seen the play), it is actually a beautiful love song. When in context of Sweeney...it's a bit disturbing, really.
i think its a little wierd too...just because he's singing stuff that a little kid with a cockney accent would sing ('i got ways') and he usually sings more refined stuff with proper grammer. i still love it though.
