He essentially admitted to activities or elements of the crimes that he was guilty of within the charges and he “felt” and it was his “opinion”. He was going down either way. Sounds like he took his lessons from Trump, calling judge and prosecutors corrupt, witch hunt, selective prosecutions…

Decades as a prosecutor aren't worth anything if he's the kind of person who threatens defendants' families. He shouldn't regret, he should be shamed and silenced.

He says Cohen denies his guilt. He doesn’t. He admits he committed a crime, but he says he committed that crime at the behest of Trump. Very different. You’d think this guy would know that, which he does, but he’s running the usual interference for Trump.

This person completely ignores the fact that cohen is entirely corroborated by both the documentary evidence and other witnesses. If cohen pled guilty to crimes that he feels he didn’t commit, he can testify on re-direct that he did so to save his family grief and because he couldn’t afford to keep paying a team of lawyers to defend him against those charges. And he knew he was going to lose his law license/ livelihood. And the prosecutors told him they would also charge his wife with tax fraud if he didn’t accept the plea deal. That will resonate with the jury. The reality is that many defendants get pressured into accepting plea deals. That’s how prosecutors get people to plead guilty.

The witness has huge support by evidence and other witnesses. He's also said he pleaded guilty so his wife would not be charged. I don't blame him for that AT ALL, and I don't think the jury will blame Cohen either.

People, this is NOT A NORMAL situation. No one is taking into account the effects of narcissistic abuse. Cohen is showing all the signs of mortification due to narcissistic abuse. All the forcing him to admit that he's a liar (which he did at the perceived behest of his former boss, individual 1) he's in a state of mortification. The fact that he seems unfazed and orderly (not himself), gets confused, and the biggest yet (denial) which is mirroring Trump, he's internally wounded. Not enough people understand how triggering the 'actual day of testimony is' for the abuse victim. Trump hasn't stared at anyone testifying. He's staring at COHEN. THE PROSECUTOR will lose control of their spectacular case simply because no one ever thinks about the mental health of a person. All the blustered speech from Cohen is normal for abuse victims who try and really believe that they're in control. They often talk about revenge, but definitely in a deflated sense. Trump is the biggest liar in America, allegedly. Still, Cohen is the one who is suffering. He's really devastated by Trump. He feels shame at the highest degree and sadly, no one is knowledgeable enough to know how to help and defend the broken man on the witness stand. I speak from a personal perspective and from personal experience.
