Great video! Nicely balanced. I didn't feel like I was being sold something. Beautiful voice, accent, pace, and diction! It was so soothing -- works great for my particular learning style.

1) Excellent and comprehensive overview. 🎉 Kudos to Ropsie and her team. 👍🏻 2) Zoom and handwriting. Fantastic human and amateur calligrapher here. 😊 I learned in calligraphy that if you write as neat as you can and larger-it will look better when you reduce the size. The key is to write large and neat in the first place. If you scribble, then writing larger and shrinking it later-your handwriting will not make a difference. BTW-don’t believe you need a specific zoom tool. Pinching works for me. Finally, the fountain pen feature is terrible-from a calligrapher’s standpoint-nothing replaces ink on paper☝🏻 3) Layers (IMHO) is the most useful feature for the work I do. Flash Cards is not useful to me since I’m not a student so I never have a need. Tape: not sure how I can use it so “undecided” for me. 4) Appreciate Notability keeps a clean interface as it adds on more features.

Noteful have all the same features to that of good notes or notability . - in noteful u will get , search , handwriting conversion , zoom and what not .

Fantastic detailed review, and glad to see the hate for this app has diminished since it switched to subscription. It really is well worth it IMO, especially with the math conversion and latex code options. Plus the ruler is a god-send- I teach an Optics course in physics, and over half of the material is about geometric optics. The ruler allows you to trace rays with super ease and accuracy.

Hi, I’m a bit confuse because I can’t add weblink at all anymore, my version is: 14.2.1. There is no place where to add it from (there is no + or media button in my version) and my version is differenf outlook than yours. I used to have same kind view than you but not anymore. I have bought my notablity 2016 and it should be life time lisence. I’m in trouble with this. Thank you let me know how thing are.ˆ

Thank you very much for taking the time to compile all this information - *very* useful! I wanted to click away after learning about the subscription model, as in absolute terms, $1 per month is not really expensive. But, on the other hand, $36 for an app I only use occasionally over three years sounds steep... For someone who uses the app on a daily basis, it's probably one of the best notetaking apps.

Thank you for this video. However, you showed us everything that Notability can do, but you did not show us how to do it. You did not show us selections, drop-down, menus, variations, etc. Do you have a RU-vid video that demonstrates HOW to use Notability?

Hi, Ropsie: Do coloured templates take too much space in Notability? I downloaded a beige notebook template from the gallery, and used it. But the file size increased a lot. Is it possible to use coloured templates without increase file size dramatically? Thanks.

Hello! I doubt it is the colour that's the problem, it's probably a PDF template. PDFs are generally big files that become bigger when you annotate them.

A decent app, but it should be a one time fee…. The tech sold to integrate into other apps is valuable; for example, Procreate needs a ruler, and perhaps an improved Pen group. If you use this advice I’d appreciate free full versions.

Hi, Is it possible to combine two notes with different templates into one file, and each kept their original template format? I tried to combine, but every time the templates overlap, and makes the new notes unreadable. Also, can't export one file in note format to another files now. It only gives me the option of creating a new note, instead of adding to an existing note.

Hello! Sadly, Notability only has fixed pen sizes and no millimetre options. So you can't calibrate it that way, you'll have to use one of the available options.

My cursive handwriting looks worse with the Zoom tool in every app, as well. I've come to the conclusion the Zoom Tool only works with print handwriting and not with cursive handwriting, which just looks odd and squashed.

I love her voice! It's so soothing. And her pacing and accent -- all great to me! Her delivery is exceptional and rare. However, I think there's plenty of other videos out there with the approach you prefer. But very few of this quality -- which I prefer.
