I screamed when I saw the update pop up on my mac. I was complaining about how i couldn't do the grid lines like the ipad, but look at it now ahah. I use a drawing tablet in conjunction with my mac to write.Such a phenomenal deal! I already purchased, and now I'm even more pumped to study

I’ve always used notability on my Mac but I’m glad I can have the iPad version on the Mac instead because enjoyed the iPad app more than the mac app. There’s weirdly more features on the iPad or maybe I just never knew how to use the same features on the Mac lol

Can I work on the same page at the same time from my Mac and iPad? Do they synchronize on real time? I would like to use the apple pencil for handwritten notes in my ipad and use the keyboard on my Mac to add text.

I have Notability on iPad and got the popup to get Notability for Mac free of charge. However, my Mac App Store is showing a price. Do I have to do something to make my App Store recognize it as a free download? Thanks in advance :)

Hey Ozzy - go ahead and click the purchase button and it will tell you you’ve already purchased and can download for free.

This junky app does not run natively on M1, and I guess this is why it has crashed for several times on my Mac mini. Have switched to GoodNotes 5.

Can I use this feature to basically live stream back to my mac from my iPad. As a teacher I want to use notability while walking around the room and have it show up on my projector - via my macBook Pro.

Yeah neither? Annoying that the new app scaling is bigger, doesn’t suit the mac experience. I don’t want a touch friendly iPad app on my Mac…

Goodnotes does not require extra payment for the Mac version if you have the iPad version already. On the contrary, it was Notability that previously used to require a 3.99 payment to unlock its Mac version! Great video tho.

The only thing what makes me use Goodnotes is that I can't nest folders in Notability thats a big problem for me. Hope the fix it

drawing is impossible on mac. can i just draw using my finger on the pad without pressing the finger? otherwise it's almost impossible to draw.....

I really hate how I paid for the previous iteration of Notability on macOS and that I still have to pay to update it to the one that has just been released :(

you don't have to pay to update it. once you hit buy and get all the way to the end, it will see that you've paid before then download without charging :)

If you’re signed into the same Apple ID it should have been free for the second download.

@@HarrisCraycraft yes, I did but earlier notability had to be purchased separately for Mac. It didn’t matter if you had it on iPad. Now they r only asking new users to make one time purchase ,that too less for both Mac and iPhone combined.

Thanks for the video. I love the app but I try to use it on my Mac I do not manage to scroll down on all the subjects in my library on the Mac whilst this works on my iPad. Any ideas ? thanks

I was so mad when they offered the free Mac Upgrade.I paid a lot of money for the iPad Version and then again for the Mac Version which btw really sucked at the beginning. I believe the loyal customers should have gotten some extra. Btw GoodNotes offered this first

Hi! Hope it helps even though it’s been 2 months, but yes you can! Just upload it to the app and you can do everything you do when just taking notes (and even add pages between the pdf pages for extra note taking)
