I'm gonna be so sad. Price likely has 4 or 5 seasons left in him, so there is still hope. Lundqvist should have gotten at least a Cup in his career. Shame on the Rangers.

If you can’t tell for sure that the puck FULLY crossed the goal line then it should be a no goal (unless originally called as a goal).

hes had a great career and debatably one of the greatest goaltenders in history. He didn't need a cup to prove it.

As a Rangers fan, it's "is too* much for him to handle". I'm sure you'll understand disappointment though when your wife beating goaltender brings you nowhere. :/

I blame it on Sather, to be honest. The Rangers should've been rebuilding as Henrik got there after the lockout. But they struck gold with him, Jagr had an MVP caliber season, and they ended up in this limbo area of being a bubble playoff team for several years. Then he completely mortgaged the future time and time again (five straight 1st round picks, if I'm not mistaken) to push and they had some decent chances. Unfortunately, they didn't pan out, and they missed their best shot against LA (I will forever blame the way that AV coached in the first two games, how do you take the lead in the first two games on the road like that and then just play prevent). And then I think they could've gotten back to the Final the next year had Zuccarello not been injured by that McDonagh shot to the head. Instead they get blanked at home in both games 5 and 7 of the ECF against the Lightning after taking it to them in Tampa, scoring 12 goals between games 4 and 6. Gorton is still trying to dig this roster out of the situation that Sather created. And I really love the direction he's taking the team, but I think he could've started this rebuild earlier and maybe given Henrik a twilight chance at the cup again. Instead they moved two 2nds for Eric Staal and then didn't even utilize him correctly. Moved a 2nd (that ended up being like pick 34 or something) and a 3rd, I believe, for Brendan Smith, and then signed him to a terrible deal. Signed Shattenkirk, which I honestly thought was a no brainer considering the cost, but he was just terrible. This rebuild could've started years earlier in like 2015 instead of 2018 and maybe they would've been able to make a real push for the cup this past year. It really hurts to see Henrik depart the Rangers without the cup, he has been the face of the franchise for the entirety of my die hard hockey fandom.

Don't argue with me. I'm always right _ exactly, Devils fans always overhype there team every single offseason and always rubs it in us Rangers fans faces saying they’ll be better than us and contending for a cup. Then when the season happens, they get butthurt again and realize that they have been and are still continuing to rebuild lol

I'm a Pens fan, and I have to agree (and most people would agree), that a lot of his career was wasted by the Rangers not being able to put a competitive team in front of him (except for 2-3 years)

Antoni Zaliwski I may be biased, but I feel like ‘wasted’ isn’t the right word for him. You can only say a player is wasted if that player had a good career and whoever team he played for was always bad all throughout that player’s career. The Rangers were a really good team from 2012-2015, making it to the ECF 3 times, and the SCF once. Hank certainly had his chances to win a cup, that’s why you can’t use cups as a category to determine how much better one player is from the other.
