You can't stop the PodCast, do 2 a month long distance on a split screen with Matt. You have one of the best Podcasts on the internet. In a year it will be one of the most watched Pod's for sure. The 2 of you have such a great vibe together . Please don't stop the Pod's !!!!!!
The end of the podcast means the end of those of us who live in other countries and don't get to attend shows. I'm going to miss Matt too. He was so shy in the beginning and now he's so funny. Au revoir Haiyaa pod 😢
Nigel, when you move to LA you are totally going to miss Matt and his Asian food eccentricities. His attempts to conform to Asian culture, all to impress you. I think it’s totally adorable and will be what you end up missing most from the UK. My prediction...
Nigel, I think you’d be a good actor. The only problem is finding a Script and a filmmaker that will do justice to your talent rather than hire you because you’re the flavour Du jour.
It's a shame you can't do this podcast, especially with Matt. When you move to LA. Will miss watching, learning, and laughing out load. Nothing wrong with the correct therapy.
I have to say... Matt questioning and making sure that he's not going to offend anyone at your dinner is totally how I feel... I'm not even comfortable going into the Asian Market across the street from me because I feel like people are looking at me like I don't belong ;_;
As an Asian, I think you don't have to worry about this. We welcome other people to know our culture. We are not that sensitive and just think it's cute (or funny) if others don't know the culture. Nigel just tries to be judgemental and roast Matt. I bet he thinks Matt is cute.😄
I understand your concern, but I'm not Asian and have been going to various Asian markets for years and never had any problems. You're just shopping for the foods you enjoy. Most people are busy shopping and don't care who else is.

Can I weigh in, as a Jew who grew up in Monterey Park? Developers moved cows out to build our suburbs IN THE HILLS , in the 1950s. It became a nice HILLY area of single family homes. Apartments could be counted on one hand. Until the mid 60s, Japanese couldn't buy property in Monterey Park! Whether all Asians were excluded, I don't know, I was little. But even in 1965, when my dad could afford to buy a vacation house, we Jews couldn't buy in Laguna Beach, only in unincorporated South Laguna. (don't cry for us, but it was a moldy 70 year-old house) So as a former Monterey Parkian (?), it gives me some satisfaction to see that it's predominantly Asian. Meanwhile, I live in (far safer) Israel, and know how to use a rifle, lousy with a handgun. Don't own either.

WTF!!! I love humor and tragedy is some of the best comedy but WOW. I do NOT get offended easily and I'm not offended now. But I'm going to hell for laughing at this offensive ass episode! P.S. Everything Everywhere, All At Once is my new #1 movie of all time! So intelligent and the stupid humor (which is actually smart) gives a very accurate take on the multiverse.
