Thanks for watching my Nothing Ear Stick review, much obliged! And if those pesky Telegram scammers pop up in the comments as usual, please do ignore, that's not me! CHeers
The lack of silicon tip is always listed as a negative and I get that it hurts the noise cancellation etc but as someone with apparently weird shaped ear holes the silicon tips always work their way out of my ears hard tips can stay in forever
Yeah I'm searching for this ear stick because for that reason, I actually use Realme Air 3 and they hurt my ears and they fall off although I use the smallest tip
I kind of feel the same way. Not sure if it’s because the silicone tips were on cheaper models and not as good of a material as more expensive models, but I’ve never had issues with the angled tips falling out. Could be my inexperience with premium models though
1:30 "Full £50 cheaper" I mean, they're not, they're the same price as the originals, until they bumped the price up about a week ago. That's probably worth noting.
Absolutely THE best review of a product I've ever seen. Concise, to the point, thorough, no time wasting, and not too 'techy'. Well done. I've subscribed! (AND just bought these bad boys immediately after your review, which I've never done, EVER!)
Good honest and clear review. top marks for the lack of noise cancelling analogy - "latest little mix play when she's off head on Haribo ". From one Dad to another...That should be a standard test, along with the "mosh" test. Cheers!
Low latency and non-ANC/can still hear what's going on around me is what I've been looking for so I might finally get my first pair of earbuds (several years late). The Sony Linkbuds looked promising but the lack of low latency support was a non-starter. Cheers for the frank review.
@@simonrockstream True but then I'd be paying for a feature I'd never use. Also they tend to be the silicone tip design that plug up your ear/can't hear your surroundings which is the opposite of what I want.
The pass thru mode on the ear 1 are surprisingly natural, it struggles abit on passing thru low frequency but you’re super aware of your surrounding. Also the low latency is still lagging abit in games,, you’ll really notice it while typing. Tho it syncs up in video streaming
Switching to Samsung and really needed some wireless earbuds that are similar shape to Airpods Gen 1/2 because it’s legit the only earshape that fits in my ears. These seem rad so I’m going to order them. Thanks for the review!
@@mcveigh1983 True but there’s a lot of features that don’t carry over. It doesn’t auto detect and you can’t see battery, either. Plus I just kinda wanna try something new since I’ve had my airpods for years
Honestly this is great, i was getting tired of ear tips in general, i realize its necessary for ANC but if i had to choose between ANC and comfort .. i choose comfort...
@@mbell9170 they are still pushing sound to my ears, there have been firmware releases, and even a beta feature with minor noise cancellation of which is just okay. If you can pick them up for $99, sure 👍🏻
Good cheaper alternatives are the Soundpeats Air 3 and the Fiil CC Nano. Both also feature semi in-ear design like the Nothing Ear Stick but cheaper by about 50%, more or less. EDIT: The new "Soundpeats Air 3 Deluxe HS" has Hi-Res LDAC, costs around US$40.00 only.
I am looking for an decent open ear earbuds. I'm tired of the soggy feeling because of my super wet sticky ears and I have to keep cleaning the ear tips thoroughly. So far Nothing Ear Stick is looking quite promising, any other alternatives you recommend?
Thanks for another great review @tech spurt, but please stop doing the "motion test" as it could lead to a whiplash injury or serious upper cervical instability! (As many of newer TWS are still on their way ;))
Hey Chris. Did you ever review the Melomania 1+ in ear monitors? I got them from Amazon a few months back and yeah they have been out a couple of years now but for 50quid they are the absolute Shizz.
On paper these are pretty decent ear buds but at least in Australia, these buds are $20 more expensive than what the Ear(1) buds used to be before they raised the price by about $70 AUD.
The box! You found the rip strip! No repeat of the nothing phone, eh? Or halfways anyways... Nah, I'm just pulling your leg, yet another great video and review Chris.
Hi. I'm planning to purchase a bone conducting set (the pro vs opencomm). Shokz seems to be the best out there. Hope you can review the Shokz bone conducting sets soon. Cheers.
I do prefer over the ear headphones for anc and stick for general day to day use. I need something to listen to a podcast, participate in meetings and not fatigue. Works fine for me. For airplanes I do have Bose QC 45.
me watching this wearing my pair of the ear(stick): yes they are a wonderful pair of tws earphones, fit my ears perfectly for my ears are on the smaller side. really comfortable and the sound quality's really amazing, the bass got good over time, though it took 2 firmware updates for that to happen. However, i do not recommend it. the earphones don't fit everyone, i was lucky. the nothing ear 2 is a (way) better option. the ear 2 has anc, transparency mode, and lhdc 5.0 codec support, all of which the ear stick doesn't.
You've called out apple airpods on a few occasions for having the stems sticking out, how come no such hate for the stems on these? (FWIW, nothing is clearly inspired by apple's designs from the nothing phone to both the sets of earbuds).
I know you review new stuffs but could you please review the apple earpods(the wired one)?? Maybe you could compare sound quality with the arpods pro and some other TWS. The thing is, I see many people with it in the street but there is no true review of it
So, styling and tricked-out case aside, basically they are similar spec to your average £50 pair of buds, but twice as expensive? Hmm, isn't that the opposite of Nothing's mission statement?
The design are similar to Monster Clarity 101 Airlinks, released back in 2020. The only difference Nothing have is the charging case made using transparent plastic.
My Ear (1)'s ANC stopped working so i got this as replacement as they weren't selling Ear (1) anymore, not sure how to feel about that considering it doesn't have ANC at all, granted i wasn't a fan of the tips on Ear (1), none of them were quite right and i had to wipe my ears dry every hour or so for them not to slip out.
While I love my Airpods pro 2 and 3's I need a none apple, hard tipped buds for a specific use. These would be perfect except the lack of wireless charging.. The shape would be fine, you would just stand them up
My ear (1) just broke so i think i’m gonna buy this sometime soon, altho i will miss the flexibility that the ‘(1) had I think I’ll use my Sennheiser CX200 when on the bus, but i find them bloody uncomfortable to wear.
Not a gripe, but a design note. You are opening the case upside down and backwards. Holding it in your left hand with the earbuds facing you, with the red part pinched between your pinky and palm. Rotate the clear shell and pick out the earbuds. Reverse all of this and do as shown in the video *in your right hand* if you are left handed.
@@TechSpurt Exactly... so I bought 5 pairs of earbuds on black Friday greatly reduced in price - only 1 pair fit nicely, 2 kinda okish and 2 pairs were absolutely useless so I gave them away!
gonna be honest, my brother has a pair of nothing ear 1s, the sound is inferior to my Moondrop Arias in every way not a fan of 40% marketing, 50% looks and 10% actual sound
From Singapore, bought it at Challenger for $169 that Tuesday, awesome Ear Stick, worth it, Guys/Gals it has no ANC but just increase the volume it's already loud enough, it is very clear, it has a bass just not that heavy/strong but it's there, for me personally I love it, easy to hook onto my ears & I wear it for a long time & I don't feel any pain whatsoever & it doesn't slips, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Maybe they should get Stewart Lee to advertise these. he has a great song about the Nothing. "Oh the nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing ...nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing Oi! What's over there, oh there's noooothing. Oh there's nothing over there at all. Is there anything over there, no there's nothing, what about there no there's nothing either Ah do you remember the old Nothing songs. Ah the Naaafing, Naaafing, Naaafing the Naaafing!! There's Naaafing over there" (Yeah, this probably looks bonkers, but you should checkout his Comedy Vehicle show for the full effect, I think it could catch on) The ear phones look alright too.
