Dear mr brownstone, your question "Is he Spanish?" is a bit puzzling. Here is a bit of info for you on name Juan. Juan is a given name, the Spanish language and Manx language version of John. It is very common in the Isle of Man, in Spain (its origin) and in other Spanish-speaking communities around the world, and also in the Philippines. The feminine form in Spanish is Juana, or Juanita on its diminutive.
