You did miss a few things, some reactors catch it right away and others don't but I have been stuck on this song, the first family has to rob for christmas, the second family 99% sure had a still birth not a miscarriage, you can tell in one of the scenes where the dad smells his son's blanket. You don't get a baby smelling blanket with miscarriage. The cop in the first scene was listening to home videos considering a suicide, he lost his entire family. I think you didn't catch but the kid has a black eye, he looks up when he is in his parents car and it is seen. At the break in the homeowner hit the male with his bat and the female ran out and that is who the cop shot, the mom, then himself after he had seen what he did, killed the mom in front of the kid
Lossing the love of your life or a child starts you at what others would call rock bottom this fall is much longer and much more pain involved breaking through bedrock burning through the core and kungpow out the other side leaving you broken, bleeding and thousands of miles to crawl back home!!!
I love the reaction but you were wrong about one thing it wasn't the dad that the cop shot but the mother. The reason I said that is because the mother had on the hoodie, the dad only had on the ski mask.
the cop's wife & kids were all dead. That is what drove him to drinking. Not an excuse. But ask yourself, how you would cope with an accident that took away your family. Would you be able to think sensibly while daily living with feeling lonely and being around family photos? It isn't the liquor that causes alcoholism, it's the tragedies that a person encounters that make them go crazy and do the wrong things. Propaganda wants people to be focused on the substance that is being abused instead of understanding why a person would abuse these substances. Come to think of it when drowning in desperate circustances a person might tend to abuse any object (guns, knives, sensitve personal data, and even abuse friendships). So its the LACK OF UNDERSTANDING oneself that is the cause of being abusive that eventualy leads to tragic endings. But rather than understanding, most people tend to seek pleasurable ways of escaping from themselves until they do something they thought they would never do (when they weren't feeling desperate).
