This whole album is way different than anything they did before it. Famous Last Words is more of what you would expect from them whereas this song, and album is more of an outlier. If you want more songs like FLW, I'd recommend listening to more songs from The Black Parade album like Welcome to the Black Parade, Teenagers or Mama, or even songs from Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge like Helena, but if you want another song from this album, the video for "Sing" is like the sequel to this video

sound wise, yes its different. but content wise not at all different. still has the same tones to it.

There is a part 2. The music video for Sing continues on from this point. But there are like 0 reactions to it which is sad, i don't know it people miss it or if the videos just get taken down :( Which sucks cause the video for it tells a more concise story of how they rescue the girl and it packs an emotional wallop.

There is someone who reacted to the song but he didn't like it. His opinion doesn't matter because he reacted to the album The Black Parade and got all the way to Sleep still thinking that a hard rock song can't have a piano beginning though that song changed his mind I think

In this video, MCR play "The Fabulous Killjoys", a legendary group of rebels living in the universe of Gerard Way's own comic book "The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys"! Gerard is a visionary and story teller first, which is the huge driving force behind MCR's ambition and theatricality, but all 4 band members are equally nerdy and the variety of influences and skills between them is what truly helps to bring these visions to life (Bowie, Iron Maiden, Queen, Misfits, Smashing Pumpkins to name a few). The sequel to this video is "SING", but these are the only two video depictions of the Killjoys sadly :( Yes this is very different than Famous Last Words' sound, but I wouldn't describe it as an outlier, as MCR's music throughout their 4 albums has amazingly steadily and naturally progressed from pure horror punk/hardcore, to this brit-pop/classic rock influenced style, with the two albums in between being the most popular (probably as they serve as the middleground between the heavier stuff and the more radio-friendly approach!). Alot of people like to call this their sellout album as it was MCR's first real foot forward into synths and dance-inspired rock music, but Gerard and the band have always adopted a diverse array of influences like I said and they just chose to focus on different ones for this album which I fail to see how that is selling out honestly :) Other than SING, "Helena" and "The Ghost of You" are classic MCR videos

Yes definitely Helena and ghost of you. Both really awesome music videos and concepts.

Totally agree that this is not a sell out album and that they were exploring different influences. It really annoys me when fans turn on a band for trying something different and i remember at the time it really felt like thats what happened. I saw them do Black Parade in Sydney with thousands and thousands of people, then when they toured danger days i saw them again in Sydney but only a couple of hundred fans were there. Oh well their loss cause that concert in front of a couple of hundred all all dressed up in their killjoy gear was epic. I feel this whole album really got way more respect over the years, it really deserves it.

Yes it's Grant. He is Korse in this universe. And MCR are the Fabulous Killjoys. Not many bands do this. Gerard Way is the author of the Umbrella Academy and he kinda creates a world for music also, super wonderful nerd. But the music part without Ray Toro, Frank Iero and Mikey Way it wouldn't be MCR.

@@antonreactstorock fun fact . Gerard way was working for a corporation during sept 11 he was on his way to work the morning of , he whitenesses bodies falling and that’s when he said what am I doing with my life slaving away for corporations … thus MCR was formed . He’s an amazing comic artist . Umbrella academy is AMAZING! He even co directs the series , his art is wonderful. Every song every Album has a story behind it . the black parade was a rock opera . Based on a character dying of cancer . And his experiences in the afterlife . You’d love the person he is . Complete nerd but amazing all in one. I actually got to meet him back in 2007 when they came to New Zealand for the black parade is dead tour. Amazing just amazing and so kind and down to earth . Definitely check out SING as that is a continuation of na na na . Absolutely love that you are loving the band that saved my life . ❤️

Hearing ur comments at the end about their style of music, the interviews that I've seen of them, they credit everything to the various influences they had growing up. Ray Toro- lead guitar grew up with Iron Maiden, Metallica and other heavy rock bands. Frank Iero- rhythm guitar was more of the punk like Black Flag. Mikey Way- bass seemed to gravitate towards brit rock and electrophonics like The Smiths, The Cure And Gerard Way- lead singer was pretty much a chameleon which is another factor that keeps them constantly evolving. They've each done solo projects but none of it has ever come close to recreating the magic of My Chem as a cohesive group.

Oh dude gerard way is a fucking genius. This dude wore a shirt during the first show EVER that said “Thank you for the venom” on it. That song would later be on their 2nd album. The last song of the first 2 albums also share a thing where in one song it says “i’m trying” and in the other song it says “i tried”. everything about this band is so coordinated its fucking ridiculous

Mcr is so creative, I love them! And oh, you should totally go with Fall Out Boy at some point if you don't know them already, they were more punk rock at the start of their career than now, but their lyrics and catchy riffs are still as great as ever. They're super creative, and the music videos are awesome! they even made a video for each song of one of their albums, Save Rock and Roll, which tells a crazy story - with special guests like Elton John hahaha!

I’d love to see ur reaction to “welcome to the black parade” the song has so many change ups which reminds me of queen. I also love “I’m not ok” which was one of the newer songs. As well as “thank you for the venom”.. if u love my chemical romance you’ll absolutely love all 3 of those songs

MCR are in a music world of their own, I love watching reactions to their music and seeing the moment people really get how awesome they are. I have too many favs, but if I had to pick my top 3, I'd go one from each of their major albums. 1. I'm Not Okay (I promise) - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Album 2. Heaven Help Us- The Black Parade (Side B) 3. Sing- Danger Days, Part 2 to Na Na Na.
