My Simplex 4006 doesn't work well AC power has no affect on it but battery power does. Both NACs don't work it even fails to reset. I don't know what I'm going to do at this point all passcodes were changed.
Well maybe I can help you on a few things, First of all, try not to start the panel off of batteries because it will damage the charger. The panel won't reset if an activated zone has no resistor( the panel needs to communicate with the resistor before resetting) and for the AC power not working, make sure that your wiring everything correctly and that is not wired backwards( even though it wouldn't matter because AC works either way). Could you make a vid showing the panel and the problems? You can send it to my YT email: business.everydayexitsign@yahoo.com And try contacting the seller for the passcodes
Oh man, well, it must be the transformer that's bad. Find one and you should be good to go. Since batteries use DC power, they can't use a transformer. And since you say that the panel works on battery power, it must mean that the transformer must've gotten hit by lightning or something. Take a close look at it if you can and try to find any burn marks on it or around the circuit board

Yo I'm getting a Simplex panel thats going to arrive on June 20th can you take a guess on what it is if you guess right you get a shoutout. I will make an unboxing video for it on the same day it arrives.
Hmmmm a simplex 4004? How about 4005?? Or, are you going addressable again with a 4010?? Once you get a simplex panel, you will start to learn the simplex fire alarm "language" :)
