R.I.P to the great Biggie smalls but off the top of the noggin I think Nas,Black thought,Kool G Rap,Guru,Rakim, and DOOM have greater mic skills then biggie.
He was gay. Period don’t care what no one says.. dude always rapped about fckn dudes and Mr.Cee was a gay and so was Puff… I ain’t in denial. My fav rapper was gay when he was alive. … so is busta rhymes but I don’t care. His first 4 albums will be played till Im gone
BIG's skills and mic presence was phenomenal. His word play and choice of words, ryhme scheme and all is STILL unmatched to this day. He was way ahead of his time and old heads beefed him for that, but could not step to the plate to challenge him when he was alive. Now he is late and everyone's trying to whittle down his impact. I love me some Kool G Rap, Nas, KRS and them all, but I would pick a BIG ten times over before anyone else. Dude was just a phenomenal lyricist. He was witty, and extremely creative. To think that he was just a kid at the time blows my mind. Ready to die was the first album to leave chills in my body for weeks after I first heard it. Nothing like it before!
Lyrically, there are MC's that could challenge Big, but his lyrical ability added by his GREAT mic presence, and delivery would send most MC's to the morgue. His mic presence was SOOO fucking commanding. He rapped liike he was your daddy basically, and he was very to-the-point. Lyrically he's top 5.Storytelling top 3. Hard to top that. Profound lyricist killed at a very young age. RIP.
He had lyrical genius knowledge for his age, they said he had the age of a 100 year old man-telling stories as his talent. I don't doubt a word of that. He was a person of lyrical talent to deliver what ever he wanted to say in almost anyway and brought you down without thinking. Rapping to him is just him telling a story, and tucking you into bed before you go to sleep. RIP Look at that, I'm all academic,(for science and math mostly) and I can't even write, spell, or have great grammar. English is my only language. I enjoy knowing his skill will over come any douche bag I see. My knowledge of my weakness only makes me know who is really strong with their knowledge, this case, Big can make anyone move out of his way and make them go home and sleep for 10 years trying to get to his level. (they wont)
@@AnonymousRapper he is only one,who can rap slow but have such great flow.almost all rappers with great flow, rap very fast.but if you rap fast,it is a problem to understand you.
Agreed...but with one exception. Foxy Brown (whom Biggie wanted in Jr Mafia over Kim) is the only rapper I can think of with who can stand next to Biggie in terms of flow/delivery/cadence/tone ect. I'm don't really care for chick rappers in general but she is the exception and definitely the only female rapper I'd rank among the great MALE rappers. The fact that she's a feminine female with a girly SPEAKING voice, but she can rap like a dude (and even BETTER than most dudes) is pretty wild if you actually think about it. This is one of her lesser known/unreleased tracks produced by JustBlaze. Her flow is lethal af. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XHvOD2hbXwk.html
GENTLEMEN LISTEN...could you imagine where this music industry would be @ if biggie, tupac, big L, big pun, easy E, ODB, ETC never got takin away from us? fuck...a dreamer can only dream. RIP yall always have a spot in my heart word up.
+jdbeast its a possibility that they could have fall off Don't forget nobody like them when they were alive and most case like movies if a actor die in the making of a film they will get a reward after death something to think about NO HATEING IM JUST TRYING TO LET U KNOW THERE ARE MORE possibilities
+Karisma P. "When I die fuck it I wanna go to Hell, cause I'm a piece of shit it ain't hard to fucking tell/ It don't make sense going to Heaven with the goodie goodies, dressed in black I like black Timbs and black hoodies."
yo I can remember bein 6 years old watchin biggie freestyle on the streets 2 blocks from my complex and then 7 years later at 13... watchin his funeral on the streets of brooklyn. biggie will always be my fav its and its alot deeper than bein a fan fo me.
for a long time i gave this title to 2pac and nas, then biggie. But after spending more time listening to his albums I'm convinced he's the greatest I've ever heard.
I like how he gives respect before he starts the freestyle. You already know it gonna be the shit, but before he kicks it, he has to REPRESENT, so fuckin sick. RIP Mr. Wallace
the music, the beat at first is all laid-back and suave, then it gets jazz-kicking good; biggie sounds like an urban radio talk show host at first but then he puts his skills on the mike. must've been awesome to be there live.
He was such a game changer bruh it’s like having a cheat code ..I heard this song as a kid on funk flex vol 4 60 minutes of funk.. that whole album was pretty dope
One of my favorite all time biggie verses. The best part is all the commerical hip hop heads never heard this song and it's greatness. It's like a fine wine or a nice shot of whiskey.
A great rapper knows how to rhyme outside the rhythm, if that makes any sense. Biggie is rapping like a jazz drummer here. His rhythm is all intricate but he's always on flow 🔥
....i used to order mixtapes directly from the bronx in the early 90's.....before streaming services....music apps etc.....10 bucks a pop......nice to instantly relive those days......had this joint on one of them......haven't heard in a while......what goes around-comes back around.......
