That ex-Cowboy is very difficult to listen to; he proved nothing as the head coach of Dallas, he leaves quite a bit to the imagination trying to cover the Irish.
Ok smarty pants. The forward pass was illegal until 1903. Saint Louis university threw a forward pass, unsuccessfully, as the first ever in a college game. But Notre Dame was the first school to utilize it frequently and successfully. At least study history of the sport before being a troll. From a search: “Before the 1913 season, Notre Dame’s Gus Dorais and Knute Rockne practiced the forward pass while lifeguarding in Ohio. The training paid off when the Irish unleashed a high-flying assault at West Point that overwhelmed Army on November 1, 1913.”
You do know that ND has one of the greatest histories in college football?! But go ahead, be a troll. Even their leanest years have mostly been winning seasons against some very tough programs. Not many schools maintain that elite status for as long as ND has. Not many play the variety of big name schools that ND does year after year. They are not in a conference, so they have to learn week after week to play against some very unique and elite schools. Say what you want, but on any given Saturday, anything can happen when you play schools that draw students nationally. Name a program that compares. There are only a few, and they have all had lean years. It’s all relative. And relatively speaking, Go ☘️!
@@sliglusamelius8578 You’re the troll. either that or you know nothing about the Notre Dame football program. this video is ludicrous to compare Freeman to Rockne. There has never been in the history of the Notre Dame football program a national title winning head coach, except for Rockne, that lacked college level head coaching experience before coming to Notre Dame. Freeman ought to be compared to Willingham, or Freeman oughta be compared to Jerry Faust. The Notre Dame administration has already experimented and failed with an affirmative action head football coach, just as the Notre Dame administration repeated experimenting with hiring a Catholic high school head football coach for the head football coach position in Gerry Faust, seems if at first you don’t succeed as was the case with Terry Brennan being chosen with only high school head football coach experience, they picked another high school football coach in Gerry Faust and the results were much the same, abject failure! So too, with Freeman he has a job as the Irish head football coach until the students boo him on Saturdays in the stadium and then the administration will once again protect the students from appearing racist and fire Freeman.
@@Playback007able Your metric is national championships. How many teams have that as their metric, maybe 15 total? I agree that hiring an unproven head coach has been problematic for ND. I do not think that Freeman is an affirmative action hire though, he was a defensive coordinator and apparently good at that job. He is a known entity, not some random hire.
@@sliglusamelius8578 this video is about the new Irish helmsman taking the charge in the halls echoing the past glories of Knute Rockne. It is ludicrous and presumptuous to suggest Freeman is up for the challenge. I hope he is a successful Irish head coach. The reality is that the long storied and past glories of The Irish have only seen winners, not just natty champs, but overall winners, except for Rockne with head coach appointments possessing prior head coaching experience. The fact that the Notre Dame Administration has succeeded successful, natty champs heads’ with inexperienced, abject failures is the reality. No matter what happens moving forward in the Freeman era, there will always be the hallmark confounding losses in the house that Rockne built to lowly Standard, let alone Marshall. Seen this scenario play out before for seven decades now. Not apologizing for continued skepticism. Leahy: succeeded by Brennan Devine: succeeded by Faust Holtz: succeeded by Davie Three champions, responsible for six championships, succeeded by three inexperienced and unqualified losers. Parseghian: succeeded by Devine One champ succeeded by another qualified champion, yet the administration hated Devine, and so did the fans leading to his premature departure. Confounding, irrational directing has been an Irish program hallmark, nearly as much as is its past glory seasons. Holtz had a clause in his contract to freely exit his head coaching contract at Minnesota if ND were to hire him. He loved the notion of Notre Dame as much as coaching, yet he was forced to resign and slink away to South Carolina to finish out his coaching career because he was at odds with academic focused ND principals over lowering entry requirements for players by 1/10th of a grade point so to allow greater recruiting abilities for the five star “rug hooking” majoring recruits flowing into the major conferences. Coach Kelly realized his success at Notre Dame was limited, at best, to getting whipped by the Alabama’s, Georgia’s and Ohio States in the playoffs due to the entry requirement hurdle at ND. Only time will tell, and…I am not imbibing the People’s Temple Of Christ elixir…not just yet. The wildcard now is the transfer portal and NIL. Suspect the powers that be at ND will fork up athletes’ NIL aims, somehow disenfranchising their athletes from equitably receiving enumeration for NCAA NIL endorsements and thus continuing their tendency towards hurting their program’s continued success. I mean, just look at them narcing themselves out to the NCAA regarding a petty tutoring offense resulting in being forced to vacate 20 wins. This is just one more example of the University’s failure to compete on a level playing field. At some point in time, the magnificent facilities, 600 million dollar addition to the stadium complex & new indoor practice/training complex and a 20 million dollar jumbo tron, all that alumni bought, will not draw to the program fresh 5 star recruits when the focus and attention to relevance continues to fade into the sunset.
@@sliglusamelius8578 what in your pea sized brain would make you think a comment from a month ago is specific to an unrelated team like clemson? I really don't see how you picked clemson out of nowhere or how it is even applicable to NDs 0-2 start. are you even catholic? from indiana?
@@rustyshackleford9017 What in YOUR pea-sized brain would make you ask about me living in Indiana or being Catholic. The video was fed to me by the algorithm today, I saw your stupid post, and I responded. Simple. Care to admit that your take on ND football was stupid?
@@sliglusamelius8578 why did I ask? because clemson is irrelevant to the OP yet you brought it up, seeing as how you must love ND to reply to a month old post. again, my post from a month ago is still accurate. maybe they will play bama in the tecmo bowl 😂 stanford and marshall are better than ND lmaooo
@@irish_vanity He has a top 5 2022 recruited class, they were in the Fiesta Bowl his first day on the sideline, so what more does he need to start? I understand he definitely wants all his guys ...I hear u! I expect him to elevate the program big time but no matter what he does we will ourselves continue to raise the standards around here. We come there next yr even better. If he doesn't have another top 10 team to face us u tell me then what is going on! He's lucky his guaranteed one loss the next two yrs is against us that will give him some wiggle room to keep the bar high! "But listen, he should have never made that comment about us it was uncalled for! I would give him all the respect in the world had he not, because we still considered him fam! We loved the guy he had the world on his plate! Every player here does. Beating him Saturday will taste like a 5 star meal!

U see the win exposed u in a way cause we know what to expect now so don't try and play us like that bro! And we know about how your QB can get out and run.
