Completely. Both of these teams, could not just win the tourney, but have a legit shot, instead of all these auto qualifiers who are just glorified d3 programs
I agree that ND got shafted. I'm on the fence about Duke really--Duke's early season loss to Jacksonville and the loss to a terrible Syracuse team did not impress the selection committee, in my opinion.
Good thing 6 out of 7 Ivy League teams got in though. Makes perfect sense that 2 teams that couldn't even get into the conference championship tournament made it in over the co-ACC champions.
@@patrickq7489 next year let’s have an ACC v Ivy playoff and see what the results would be. Too bad we can’t do it this year, but as long as we have all these auto qualifiers we are going to see top teams sitting watching. I agree with you it’s crazy.
Credit it to the two teams here for playing some wonderful lacrosse. It's beyond me how six teams from the Ivy League could make it over Notre Dame and Duke. Right now, if Notre Dame played Harvard, who'd win? The selection committee is an embarrassment to the sport. These teams deserve better.
