2016 was looking like Louisville's best season ever for the first 3 quarters of the season, before the wheels came off at the end (apparently due to a falling out among the coaches). The football program has been in a funk ever since. Satterfield's first season had some optimism, but he always felt like an awkward fit. This is the first time since that 2016 season that things have felt this positive. They won't be world beaters this year, but for the first time in a while, it feels like they're on an upward trend.
