Almost certain I don't have enough 'nervous beer' in the refrigerator, but if the team and the coaches have learned how to _practice_ 'come out with extreme effort and concentration regardless of the opponent' - then I agree with you, it may not be that close, and the score may or may not be indicative. 2) You used a pronoun referring to Leonard and the word accuracy in the same sentence. Statistically, that incredibly unscientific term (but everybody knows what it is) 'streak-shooter' is what Leonard appears to be, which is probably an improvement from when there weren''t enough passes to even define a streak. It would be also true that recently his numbers have trended decidedly more positive and that is all the reason for the improved offensive production against the relentlessly predictable crowded box every ND opponent has fielded of late. Watch for when he starts missing for the offense to dry right up unless the Aneyas freight train rolls in early, or the O line uncharacteristically frees Price more often than not. GT and Louisville were much better teams than Navy defensively, and A&M is possibly still better than ND on defense. ND 45 - 16 Navy Great cast, and I have also noted your uncanny accuracy on forecasted points to date. I will guess you are conservative on this one, despite my misgivings. Go Irish!
How worried are you about injuries in this game? With all the injuries that happen on that terrible turf field, it makes me scared of j love or Riley getting hurt.
Even if we win convincingly we will not get the credit we deserve. Navy and Army are having a great year but there reputation will not give us the credit we deserve if we win.. watched numerous shows and podcasts and it's a joke to all talking on this
none of it really matters. if ND GOES 11-1 They make it . if they loose a game they are in the pop tarts bowl . so i dont think alot of the schedule strength and whatnot . its simple for ND this year win 11 games and youre in

This field they're playing on is awful 😖 😱 they need to come out pissed off fired up and have to have eye discipline, tackle wrap up, get them off the field and score everytime they touch the ball on offense!! @@michaelmccormick6571 I don't think that is true at all. I watch every ND game, including Navy, every year. I do not see "chop blocks" that are not called. I think some ND fans don't understand that "chop blocks" are illegal, but "CUT BLOCKS" are perfectly legal ... and so many fans just don't know the difference. Navy, being undersized, utilizes cut blocks all the time. Legal blocks. When they engage in "chop blocks," it is a penalty. And it gets called.
@@mattmorris4016 No. Cut blocks have always been part of the game. ND cut blocks too. Cut blocking isn’t especially dangerous. Chop blocks are, which is why they are illegal.
It would be awesome for either Navy or Army to make the CFP. But to do so they will need to beat us and I really don't see that happening, but I'm not saying it's impossible. This game is nerve wracking every year no matter if we are ranked or not and either team can get a win against us. Now back to the Gold and Blue. My prediction for this game is: we start slow, they come out hitting chunk plays, but our defense stiffens up and they only allow 3 points. We finally kick in to gear midway through the 2nd QTR. The Drubbing then starts. My final score prediction NOTRE DAME 58-16.....#GOIRISH #SALUTENAVY #BeatTheMidshipmen PS.... Jeremyah Love will go for 250+ yards and 3TDs. He will also start to turn heads of the Heisman Voters....
@@jtclaf I'm sure you would. The crazy part is army navy could play for the conference title . And if either beats ND or both. They would be playing 2 weeks in a row seemingly to go undefeated. How crazy would that be
Good luck to you, and Navy! I would prefer to lose to Navy than Army too, but unfortunately I always have to be rootiing for my Alma Mater, and hope we don't lose to either, sorry! ND beat three teams with superior defenses to Navy in GT, Louisville, and A&M, in some cases with much worse accuracy by ND's QB than he has demonstrated in the last three games. Just sayin'. You really should spend a few minutes on the differences of recruiting and players Navy ‘recruits ‘go off and serve the country Notre Dame players try and get into the NFL huge difference.
@@ItsHorizonz It's not Common knowledge, It's a HUGE advantage for ND and a HUGE Disadvantage for the Service Academies - It is part of the analysis, so why are you so defensive?
While what you say is mostly true, it is also true that Navy players generally don't leave if they 'get a better offer' mid season pre season or post season... Given the requirements to get in to the Academy, if that is what you want, other offers would seem pretty paltry. ND deals with this as a potential loss of personnel from pre-signing through senior years. Navy players also don't leave often because 'they aren't getting enough playing time' or very often for some perceived slight or interpersonal reason. Even though ND is pretty good at keeping a tight leash on players and doesn't get many 'wild things', (many other schools do) but the risk is always there: how many players does Navy lose annually to legal, or academic eligibility reasons? Finally, while a few players each year may have a realistic chance of entering the NFL draft that is a pretty small minority. The vast preponderance of players will have little to no chance of ever seeing a pro-game except in the stands or as a guest, and most will know that far sooner than their Junior/Senior year. You may find it surprising, but some players are also not interested in even seeking NFL time. Reggie Ho possibly the best kicker in modern history for the Irish is, afaik, currently a surgeon at John Hopkins I am not denegrating the selection and retention process for either type of team. They are essentially completely different, but in an analysis of _capabilities_ for a Notre Dame audience, which is what this podcast is all about? Trust me. Most will not only know the history and the background of Annapolis, they know the differences in HOW those capabilities are acquired, but it is in the capabilities themselves that the game on Saturday will be decided on. Why would you say that Notre Dame probably not playing for a national championship? I don't know man I haven't seen any teams out there right now really that are so much better than Notre Dame have you? Has anybody and don't be biased and say all Georgia Georgia what maybe Texas is overrated they beat Michigan that's it? Oregon maybe maybe maybe Ohio state's overrated I have not seen anyone out there that really would just oh they would be Notre Dame I have it especially if Notre Dame gets better and better every week if any year this could be Notre Dame's here you don't know there's no team out there that is dominant
Like he said, every game is an elimination game. MF has lost to Marshall and NIU et al. Let's hope he doesn't add Navy or Army to his horrible lost list.
