Thanks for your sparkling personality as you expertly deliver quick & easy techniques for what use to be a very tedious but beautiful design! LOVE Double Wedding Ring Quilts!! Patty’s was FABULOUS, too!!
Thank you so much for posting! I wish I were there at the party! I love watching quilt in a day, and really enjoy the lessons, especially tying it with history. It seems like you guys sew the whole day and night through! You get a lot of things done! Also, you look wonderful!
I have been following Eleanor for 20 yrs. I made numerous of her quilts. She even inspired me to buy a Baby Lock Machine. For years I have been using old Singers, and now with the Baby Lock Ellisimo, I am getting much better results in piecing my quilts, not too mention, even sandwiching them with the Baby Lock, I enjoy it much mores, especially the thread cutting feature
Just finished this for a wedding gift and used 6 different for rings, 4 for center, another for squares, another for binding and another for back, embroidered on some squares and in opposite corners with names and date.
My dad was a pastor for the Church of God, Cleveland, TN in Washington State. In the 1960's a church they pastored, it was either Anacortes, of Port Angeles, gave them a friendship quilt with all the names of each family on the blocks. It was beautiful. UNTIL...my dad grabbed it and stuffed it around the water tank in their motor home to keep it from freezing one year. It was totally ruined because it mildewed. Talk about a bone of contention! WHEW!
Eleanor you live close to me! wish I could take some lessons from you. I have just began quilting and am self taught. I have too many quilts I've started and now stumped but I have a friend that's getting married and I told her I would do my best to make her a wedding ring quilt. have any tips, tricks and ideas. you are amazing and full of energy. I've been having some medical issues but try to sew or think about my quilting. I probably need to buy the templates. there's many templates out there don't know which one to buy. thanks for the videos. your great!
Hi I am new to quilting. I would like to know how you get that little booklet. Also you talked about items you have for sale there how do you get those too. Thanks I am loving the people putting this video on for us. Thank you so much.
You can do a google search for "Neveau Wedding Ring" quilt pattern if you don't have a local shop. Or just call your local quilt shop and ask for Eleanor Burns "Neveau Wedding Ring" the templates are a separate purchase, or you can purchase preprinted fusible (harder to find) the pattern, as you see in the video has the pieces printed in full scale to copy and create your own template if you like- I purchased the templates in addition to the pattern -just a quilt enthusiast
I'm gonna be a bit of a negative Nancy but the young lady helping to show the old quilts wasn't very gentle with the quilts... but then again she's young so I guess she doesn't get it
