I want to thank everyone for checking out this video! It's been pretty steadily viewed since I put it up. I hope that you'll check my other videos out as I continue to work on this project. I have been striving to improve the quality of the videos as I put them up and my newer installments are higher definition and more stable. Thanks again for checking out this video and my channel! Also, I wanted to note that there is one tube which is part of this spec. floor structure that I had not yet installed by the time of this video, and that is the #9 "seat" bar that travels transversely under the location of the drivers' seat, typically from the rocker bar to the main inner frame rail. Thanks again!

High definition is great, but it's the approach that's all important. A lot of us older builders would have been "over the moon" with a VHS tape to work from years ago! Keep the work coming, it's tough to be building with 100% concentration and be thinking, "how does this look through the lens at the same time." It's bad enough photographing builds as you forget to get pictures of everything. Some painters channels I follow use a GoPro on their heads but even most of those have a cameraman filming as well.

@@YootubeUK Challenging Indeed, but I try to capture interesting angles when I can. I recall the novelty and wonderment of having access to the old family video camera in my earlier years; accessibility has truly blossomed. The luxury of having a cameraman is an appealing circumstance, but my tripod has greatly enhanced my filming experience. Thanks again for your viewership and chiming in!

What are your thoughts on a 67 nova drag car build ( not doing a full tube chassis) 4 link rear end 14x32 tire, tube front end full cage. My question is would this floor structure be the best to tie it all together and is this something that could be made and shipped?
@keefershotrodshop
@keefershotrodshop 4 месяца назад
'67 Novas are awesome! Unfortunately I have no way of building and shipping anything like a full floor structure for that car at this time. If you plan to do a tube front (Are you referring to a strut-type front end, or perhaps you mean one that bolts on like factory?), and a 4 link with big slicks, you, in essence, would have a full tube chassis car. A floor structure like the one in the video is for cars (generally) going quicker than an 8.50 ET in the quarter mile. If you have an appropriate roll cage to go quicker than an 8.50 ET, the car will be required to have a floor structure similar to this. If you only intend to run an 8.50 ET or slower, the floor structure can be of a more simple design in some ways, but some kind of strong connection between your front and rear frame rails/structures is highly recommended. A structure like a 25.5 or 25.3 floor structure would be a great choice for any build, or, for something slower than an 8.50, simple rectangular or round tube subframe connector type tubes would suffice. What kind of racing and/or ET are you looking to do/achieve? Thanks for watching!

appreciate the content, about to start a 25.3 Nova myself. what width did you set the inner frame rails at if you don't mind sharing?

Awesome! I'm glad you are enjoying it! I set them at 22" on center so that I could fit a 20" wide fuel cell between them in the back. That is a pretty wide dimension for a chassis car, but it does allow for the 20" wide fuel cell along with 3/16" on either side for weatherstripping or just wiggle room. Thanks for watching!

@keefershotrodshop is there any videos of this build starting from the very beginning...like you cutting the floor out and setting the very 1st bar in?
@keefershotrodshop

Hi, thanks for checking out my channel! I did a lot more than cut the floor out of this car. I replaced everything except the cowl, A-pillars, B-pillars and the roof (and doors). It got quarters, rockers, filler panel, tail panel, etc. etc. I took some video of that stuff, but not really in-process. I never got around to putting any of it up because they are just overviews of progress and don't really show a lot of the process itself. Technically, I set the very first bar at 11:51. It's just easier to build the floor structure out of the car where you can make sure everything is level/planar/positioned correctly. This video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mjXQmdZDcmI.html shows the floor structure installed in the car (it's already in at the beginning, but I backtrack and go through the process for the rest of the video) if you'd like to check that out. Thanks again for watching!
