This is one outstanding video. They should show it in schools so the children can learn something about the transit industry. The Nova bus is the future of transit
In the acordeon section also you install seats, wow I remember the MAN SG310 from Puerto Rico with a C shaped seats in the acordeon, but on this there are standing poles in the acordeon, like the Canadian and European versions
Svetlozar Shenkov Hi, you are from Russia? I know you have this type of buses too, what is the configuration used on accordion (harmonica) bus? Good to know the differences used in USA, and outside
puerto rican from NYC here. in the states we had something similar. Our older buses had 1 seat in the middle of the accordian bit . it was a ton of fun to ride in because you would be tossed around atleast on the buses i rode in Harlem.
@@ProAvgeek6328 unfortunately some articulated buses doesn't have seats in the middle section some has poles in the middle like this bus for example I totally agree with you I think all articulated buses should have seats in the middle 😬😬😬😬😬🤔🤔
@@Canadian_Yoshi oh ok but how do you know? is it some kind of transit tracker you use or you know the bus seating scheme cuz the only ones I know are the RTC Metrobus, Full Roof HEV STL and RTL and STM.
You and ADL make Strathcona County's transit comfortable and reliable. It's interesting to see the production process seeing as no other bus manufacturer has done this kind of video. Y'all are the friendliest compared to NFl group (Galil doesn't exist).
There is a pivot in this (and in all other) joints otherwise the buses would bend their chassis going over top of a hill. You just cant see it very well in the video. The front part of the joint will connect to the front vehicle via drum-shaped rubber bushings that provide the necessary compliance
Yeah because Seems that CTA will stick to Nova, I heard that they don't want anything to do with ordering Xcelsiors at this time, They had issue with 2 of their Xcelsior Electric buses with one caught on Fire, out of commission.
Please make the whole rear of the bus high floor and 2/3 of the front section low floor. Please, I like high floor busses, it brings a true bus experience. Will have more seating up in air and just the front low for people that need it. thank you for reading this.
that won't happen because of accessibility reasons. no north american transit company is going to buy high floor buses because people will complain too much. because of this, bus manufacturers (like this one) can't make money off of high floor buses.
@@julianheald8661 I mean just the front low for the acessible. Why does the entire rear need to be low too? It’s all choppy. Just the third door would have the steps. The first two doors would have no steps.
@@canadaball123 I edited my comment just now. What I meant is that on the articulated busses, they should make the whole rear high floor and keep only 2/3 in front low floor for people that need it. Like this the whole back could have more seating and better ride experience.
"And because, buses need to run all day without stopping for gas, the tank holds about 7 times as much fuel as an average car." Did you only quote part of the sentence? It's just saying that the tank is big; there's nothing saying it doesn't use gas (unless you're tryna say diesel != gas or something).
Sonic57053 Transit & Gaming Exactly andI bet the NovaBus artics aren’t even that bad as some people only say they are. Like Xcelsiors are just some of the most perfect buses lol smh
@Sonic57053 Transit/Gaming They adopted the designs from TMC and although many of the units, like the MTA units, did ok, they dropped the ball with the WFD variant, that was confirmed with the TTC.
