Cape breton's beauty genuinely brings a tear to my eye, runs chills down my spine. I miss the green hills, the fresh air coming off the water. Nova Scotia is absolutely beautiful, people are very friendly and welcoming to visitors, they are mostly of Scottish, English and Irish ancestry, so you will hear a lot of Scottish and Irish folk music, and see Scottish and Irish dance and art which is really amazing. Go whale watching on Brier Island, Go kayaking around the McNabs island, Take a ferry to Dartmouth from Halifax, Don't forget to go to the Lower deck bar downtown Halifax on a Sunday evening!

This province is the worst in Canada . Strange people they do not welcome new people For some reason, even if you are Canadian from another province, something strange in nova Scotia :( I believe all Scotland's criminals live over there . The roads are broken. .No a single person drives with a caution ** Animals Crosses the street outside cities, bears everywhere, if your car breaks down, you will die If you get sick, they can not take you because NO doctors available :( the overgrow trees prevent the citizen from walking around and see new Places . Do not go to nova Scotia and do not go with fishing people Unless you want to be number 701, search for crabs.

Halifax has a lot of diversity. The valley has so much agricultural and livestock. Yarmouth is small but kinda fun [thats where I live]. Truro & bridge water are a mixture of city and farming.

@@E199027 Depends what you are going for, if you are for more nature oriented stuff I recommend the BC Ice Fields. If you are looking for more historic stuff, Kingston Ontario has some really interesting landmarks such as an old British fort (cant remember its name at the time) and tours of historic town. It also had a ghost walk that I did a few years ago well I lived there that is worth it if you are into that. It's also around the same size as Halifax.

The waters along the Northumberland shore are the warmest north of the Carolinas. As far as deaths caused wildlife attacks there are very few in Canada in general and exceedingly few in Nova Scotia. There are many places in Canada that have a higher risk of animal attacks.

Not gonna lie, the video was beautiful... but was pretty disappointed that the Yarmouth lighthouse was shown, but nothing was said about it. Even though the film the Lighthouse was actually shot there recently! Just wondering if there wasn't enough of anything in Yarmouth to deserve a mention or what. I know it must be hard to visit so many places and then have to pick what to talk about. Just curious what Yarmouth could do to stand out more.

Yarmouth is the worst place in Nova Scotia by far, such a shithole. 6000 people living there and two shootings in the past 2 months, fentanyl overdoses left and right, someone found dead floating in a river and house fires caused by idiots that were trying to cover up murders. My cousin died there. I lived there for 7 years and my years in elementary I got jumped walking home.

People should know that lobsters are the cockroaches of the ocean. 50 years ago people used them as fertilizer...now people pay 50 bucks to eat one. Now THAT is good marketing !

Lobsters were also a cheap food. The less well off kids had lobster sandwiches for lunch at school many years ago. Now you are considered rich if you were to bring lobster sandwiches to school every day.

My friend lives there and she told me it's such a beautiful place but she also told me she hates driving down Smokey Mountain. I seen a picture of it on Google and it looks scary but also looks like an awesome view. Would love to be up there with a cup of coffee when the sun comes up or when it goes down. @@fjbutter1813 - What a lot of people don't know is that Nova Scotia has 3 different cultures, British, Scottish, and French (Acadian), each of these cultures left their mark on Nova Scotia. The French left Fortress Louisburg (renovated) in Cape Breton, and Port Royal the oldest French settlement in North America located in the Annapolis Basin, they still keep the theme of life in the 1600's. French had also built dikes for agriculture which are still there, and you can see the world's highest tides in that spot. Then there's the Grand Pre historic site. The English built Halifax, and Lunenburg. Halifax is a treasure of old British buildings with the Halifax Citadel, and the Halifax water front which includes Pier 21 museum where immigrants got off the boats when they first arrived in Canada, There's also a WW2 Corvette warship you can go on board see the inside as it was during the war, Halifax was a vital port during WW2. See relics from the Titanic, and graves from people on the Titanic, see where the largest explosion in north America occurred in Halifax. There is so much history to see and visit in Halifax you cannot do it in one day. The Upper half of Nova Scotia is Scottish, all the communities have their own festivals during the summer just like the Scots did 200 years ago. The town of Pictou on the north shore is a museum in itself of the old Scottish culture. Sherbrooke Village on the eastern shore is a village that tourists can walk into the past and experience how life used to be.....these are just a couple of places that come to mind to visit, I haven't even touched Cape Breton. So much to see there. Hence, why it drives me crazy when people associate Nova Scotia with the Peggy's Cove tourist trap, and the Cabot Trail 500km north and not mention anything in between.

Disappointing video. There is far more to NS than the coast. There is some of best and most scenic agricultural land in Canada. This video ignored Halifax, the Annapolis Valley, Fortress Lousibourg, The first permanent settlement in Canada in Port Royal and the historic Annapolis Royal. It ignored the Acadian lands of Grande Pre and the French Shore. It missed most of the province. How is eating lobster a separate trip? You can get lobster many places; if you want something uniquely Nova Scotian, try an authentic donair. We are not all fishermen.

We have a couple of other Nova Scotia videos we posted, but unfortunately we can't see it all. We would love to explore more the next time we come. I am planning on editing a video of Halifax from our different visits to Nova Scotia in the near future. It's a great province!

Great list, but the places visited were all very touristy sites. I live in NS and am constantly exploring and there is always more to uncover!! I don't think it's possible to see all of the gems and beauty here, even if i live to 100! The best place to live. Thanks for sharing!

Not sure if you are aware but as of 2019 it is now illegal to fly your drone over Provincial Parks. I know this video is before the law but you should be careful for future videos because fines can be substantial.

There are many scenic drives...of course one of the most famous drives in the entire world is the Cabot Trail. There are other awesome drives taking to old highways along the South Shore and in the valley.

Yah i live here and there is next to nothing to do unless you enjoy walking in the rain and ship yards or getting lost in the woods =/ NS is a very simple place with simple people. Mainly old people and hipsters.

You must be in the wrong place,I can walk 10minutes and have a wonderful fresh lobster from the lobering boats,beach glassing,beaches,love it here,I own a house,I just bought for my son but it's mine,I got it for 55,000.I did have to replace the roof but that's ok,5bedroons,on a little hill,over looking the fisherman's wharf,ocean,best view ever.
