But those who pay close attention to the man himself and the sport he plays understand he was only trying to take care of his body which is his temple and that he was not trying to be a spokesperson or model for any belief or movement. To those who really study great people and who refuse to view the world through a political lens, he'll be remembered for his resilience in the face of global criticism.

You can see how the interviewer ( who by the way is looking at him as this stern adult and trying his best to act like he doesn’t want to acknowledge anything the then 24-year old Nole is saying in the whole interview) right away dismisses his answer. Novak Djokovic is a phenomenon. Having become the greatest in the Golden Era of Tennis, surpassing the other two greats, makes his accomplishments even more remarkable. We should all be grateful to have witnessed three geniuses and their epic battles. Federer's artistry with a racket... Nadal's reign on clay and fighting spirit... Djokovic's mental strenght, resilience, mastery of tactics.... Among many other qualities they have in terms of sports excellence. Why not admire the three of them? Tennis would not be the same if one of these guys were missing. Rivalry is the most important driving force in all sports, in such a way that the Big 3 is a remarkable "entity" so to speak, even more important than each one of them considered separately. That is because one player alone does not play a tennis game, does not write an interesting story without great opponents, great rivals.

helps when for the last 5 years his opponents were next gen players whom combined still cannot win a slam between them. obvisously before then when there was decent competiton like wawrinka and murray they cost novak multiple grand slams actually 6 slams .. so hes become the goat due to the weakest era in mens tennis history which indeed has helped him pass nadal slam tally record..

Imo the biggest rivalry in tennis histotry was Djokovic-Federer cause their matches were often so ''close''.Against Nadal it was/is rivalry only on clay.Outside clay ,Nole dominates Rafa soooo badly: 10-0 without droping a single set ,since 2013, and it could have been worse if it wasn't for Nadal's withdrawals in various occasions (AO,USO mainly). Djokovic proved that he doesn't need special circumstances to complete the GS ,like Federer (2009 FO) and Nadal (AO): he beat both of them on their beloved tournaments

Thank you so much Jon for doing a new piece on Novak. He was the underdog when I first noticed him and as he grew so did my respect. I think many fans in the stands are unfairly cruel to him. I always knew he’d come out on top. And the stats prove it. On top of that he’s smart, funny, articulate, kind and thoughtful. Why don’t you like him? What did he do? Actually, Roger is an as#*#*, observe him when he is losing, he is a total b#(ch, just like tiger woods. Unfortunately, people tend to overlook these things because they are winning or that’s their favorite player. Novak stands for what he believes in, and people are hating him. No one can actually pinpoint why they don’t like him, it’s just the perception that he is not liked, so therefore, you will not like him too, for not knowing the reason why.

We are blessed as tennis fans to have witnessed the 3 greatest male players play vs each other and send the level of tennis to new heights. I feel so grateful to love all 3 and appreciate how amazing this generation is. Not taking anything away from Laver, Sampras or any of the greats they had great careers. It is factually inaccurate to claim that he is the best men's player. There is no woman close if he were playing left-handed. That said, simply call him what he is, which is the greatest tennis player ever 🐐 and clearly among the greatest athletes of all time. There is no "in men's tennis" to this conversation.
