I have to admit, I had never heard of this brand before. I must be slipping. It is certainly a looker, and a refreshing departure from the usual sub looking dive watch. I can hear Amy now, "Jimmy, will you stop playing with that bezel!" "I can't puddin, it's just too much fun!" Can't wait for the review. Thanks James.
James this is a dive watch and that bracelet extension is done like that on dive watches so it's easy to use even with a divers gloved hand to adjust to fit over your wetsuit . 😃
Great video as always James. That micro on the fly slider is actually a dive extension. It can be used as micro adjustment but a dive extension is the main function hence the design. Mido divers use them too.
I like a big stainless steel watch that's well designed. The Orient M-force is a good example of this and wears much smaller than 45mm. Citizen Orca is another quirky design which looks good at 46mm. Citizen has a similar clasp setup to this which is one of the best I've come across. Looking at it I reckon Nove nicked elements of that design.
Nicely original design, I look forward to seeing how it wears for a few months 👍. At first look, I would say the dial looks rather small and there aren't minute markers on most of it.
Please let us know if the locking lever is a snag magnet or if its pretty well tucked in. Im in between this one and the Marine models. Thanks for sharing.
Bought Atlantean II last month. Was surprised to get the parcel shipped out of Hong Kong and cheap box/guts. Swiss made? Not sure to be honest. Otherwise very nice piece of watchmaking.
Bezel, lugs and those screws on lugs looks exactly the same as sprig drive mm 600. Infact Seiko and Rolex are still the most influental watch brands in the world, all others just copy these two,it sems that every micro brand started as homage to Seiko or Rolex.
Do NOT waste your money on one of these things. I got rid of mine straight away. It feels like a tinny and cheap fashion watch. Very disappointing and I lost a lot of money. Big mistake. The bezel is a gimmick and the mechanism is a dirt & grime collection point. The only thing going for it is the swiss movement.
@@WATCHingJames Sorry for the negative reply James, but I had a disappointing experience with this particular watch. I have to say however, Nove were very professional and courteous as a company and their communication was excellent. Maybe others will be very happy with one of these but I just thought it important to give my experience.
I think it is but does not feel exactly like what I would normally think of as an integrated style. I’ve since found out those spare end links are for use when wanting to use other straps. Which is very cool.
@@WATCHingJames, Nice looking watch. I don't like wearing bracelets and it seems like changing straps is a bit of a hassle. I guess I'll wait to see what they release next. Thanks for getting back to me.)))
The more these companies try to enforce some unique design ideas, the more I appreciate other companies not doing that. Seems like it is made unique for uniqueness sake. I hate any screws or rivets visible anywhere on the watch cases + this bezel guard is an absolutely terrible idea and a gimmick. That bezel itself is cool though
If you just bothered to read the watch makers website your audience could have benefited from the proper pronunciation of Nove ( Noh-vay). I’ve lived in Australia for 20 years and folks please don’t assume all Australians are this intentionally disregarding of name pronunciations. It’s a particular ilk of Australia and it’s a smaller older less worldly demographic and even if corrected on pronunciations they will insist on continuing to deliberately get it wrong and not for any other reason than they just don’t care. This is the 4 th video I’ve watched by this vlogger consistently butchering names. It takes 5 minutes to make a better presentation and not come off as some old sloppy hack who just doesn’t have any sense of duty or respect for his audience or the builders of products he attempts to report on. Cool watch, terrible execution of a promising infomercial 👎🏻
