James is in a bad mood as Ste still won't let him back home, and takes it out on Peri. He breaks into his home and when Ste, Leah and Lucas return home, they find he has packed up Lucas's things, wanting him to stay at Leela's for a while, as he says Lucas is a complication and it will be easier for them to sort things out without him there. James then accuses Ste of letting Lucas get away with too much and Ste retaliates with asking James when he turned into his dad, which James is shocked by and walks out.,,

James didn't lie, especially about Ste thinking that turning a blind eye is good parenting. Ste is the kind of person whose kids are right and everyone else is wrong. Lucas blackmailed James for weeks and enjoyed watching him and Ste fight. And this shouldn't just be treated as a childish thing. James is right, but his methods are wrong.

James is right, Ste turns a blind eye to the troublemaker's mess, Leah and Lucas. Especially Lucas at the moment, he is on a dangerous road and needs some discipline. Sure what James did was very wrong, but Lucas's idea was to blackmail him for money and material goods with no remorse. That is a lot more worrisome than what James did out of a desperate plea to protect his son. Also, Ste comparing James to Mac was so far below the belt it was saying his to the penguins at the South Pole.

James is correct about Lucas. And Ste saying he’s like his dad is below the belt. Even though he is about 85% Mac. That comment wasn’t necessary. Ste doesn’t really discipline his kids. Plus, I see nothing wrong with them going on a trip alone. You can’t raise children if your marriage is in shambles. Plus, Ste want to be all self righteous with James but he still helped Sienna even though she poisoned that coffee. Plus, you don’t just marry the guy. You marry his family too. Plus, Lucas isn’t a little kid anymore, he a few years away from adulthood. If he doesn’t have a firm hand on his children ( figuratively folks) his children will be rotten adults.

Lucas is a brat at the moment, but he's confused he's got feelings for Dillion and doesn't know what to do. And matters worse his sister likes him to and flirt with him all the time and u know if she finds out Lucas as feeling for him too she probably will attack him or something or be horrible to him. And James got married to ste but when u marry someone with kids you get the kids to be your family and love them as well. Ste took Romeo as his stepson so James should do with them two. I know they are a pain but their teenager still so what u expect and when he said about the blackmail that when James should have been the adult and told ste straight away and about what Lucas said. Then only Lucas would be in trouble.

James is a stepparent whether he likes it or not. He's being a dick to a couple of dumb teenagers. He's making the kids feel unwanted. Yes, Lucas is in the wrong but the way to deal with him isn't to kick him out of the house. It also isn't calling him a bunch of names. Just goes to show them getting married was rushed if they didn't hash out the parenting duties/responsibilities/expectations. Honestly, James and Ste need to talk about it all.

Didn't whoever was in charge of HO say that Stames ended the year happy? So they will probably get through this, but be on shaky ground. And I do think that Lucas is going to continue to become more and more of a problem, that even Ste will finally realize that Lucas needs some serious discipline. Like do you think that Lucas might become abusive to someone like Ste or Dillion and Ste realizes that Lucas's anger issues won't go away without some help.

Also if they want their marriage to work then him and Ste are going to have a conversation about coparenting. You can’t just live in someone’s house and can’t even discipline them especially when their biological parent won’t. I honestly never shipped them because I didn’t think they were compatible to begin with. Some odd couples are a perfect fit but not them.
