Just like me, back in 2005/09 I had so many friends during this time, from school and online ones, it was a bliss. I even met people from the game on lan houses. Magical moments, the best of my life.
When i first time played Ragnarok, I was about 12 years old and that was the first time I played an online game. I spent my whole time killing Poring and Lunatic at this Prontera field, enjoyed the music, the *boing boing* sound. I didnt know there was more maps to go so I stayed at that Prontera field till my inventory was overweight. I asked someone and they told me that we can sold monster's drops to NPC for zeny. I trained there till my base level was 45. Yes it was 45 base and then I found out there was more map around. I went straight to the South portal and it was like a whole new world to me. Then I came to the map of Angeling, Deviling, Mastering (bet u guys already know where is it). I was amazed and so excited but the Angeling was too strong to me back then, so I was dead and went back to Prontera. I didnt give up and went back to my journey again, tried not to dead and ran away from strong monsters. After many days. I finally came to Payon. The beautiful BGM of Payon like a comfort hug to me. That was where I met my first online friend. He guided me how to play this game and how to become stronger. He taught me how to change my job, how to find weapons, cards, equipments. He was reason why i love Archer class. We spent so much time playing together. Now I'm 26 but those memories have always been so important to me. I will never forget. Pure bliss, just to sit calmly by your desk and control a little pixel character, going around casually leveling up on adorable little monsters, while listening to some of the absolute best background music ever created for MMORPG's of the early 2000's. 💕 21:43 Oh, the satisfaction of seeing a card drop. I loved seeing that item plop on the ground, regardless of monster. 🤩 46:24 Haha, also happy to see this event occur in the video as well. Classic Novice death-trap. 🤭 1:03:31 Creamy's were such a weird addition to the starting areas; Of COURSE inexperienced newcomers was going to try to attack these! Everything else around them was so manageable. Red Potions and Fly wings were almost a luxury to have in the early levels, back when I played, so even if you were to take one on, thusly burning through an expensive supply of healing items... the damn things would usually just teleport away, meaning you'd technically get no Experience Points, unless you SOMEHOW found back that same one and finished it off, or if someone else on the map would. You wouldn't get the drops, but at least you'd get that bit of EXP you earned while fighting it. 😥 ALSO, if you want a little Salt in that wound... I counted your damage... You dealt 592 damage to that Creamy, Creamy's have 595 HP... 👀 Just 3 more damage, or one last hit and you'd have the same EXP as killing 6 Thief Bugs in a row! 😮
20 years of great memory of having fun adventure with friends far away. I wish i could go back to care free life, playing this game with my friend in internet cafe after school
