"Is the show a masterpiece from the 90's? No" Wow. Way to completely fail. This anime is one the best anime series made, ever. If you disagree then forget you and everything that you have to say about it. I can only assume that you hold your opinion because you are sheltered/naive. Personally after watching the series it made me rethink my life and leave the military so if you think it's not a masterpiece then forget you again.
