Marek Dynowski, manager of the CRUK MI Scientific Computing Team, presents this exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team.
The successful applicant will help administer Linux based computing and storage systems used for scientific data analysis at the CRUK Manchester Institute and will provide user support. Calculations are performed on a heterogeneous 1,500 core HPC Linux cluster that is attached to several storage systems and resides in a dedicated data centre on site.
The post will suit an individual looking to join a highly interdisciplinary environment that combines biology with computer science, mathematics, and software engineering, with the end goal of advancing our understanding the cancer genome.
Starting Salary: in the range: £32,800 - £46,850 (dependent upon experience)
