That's still impressive! People forget these streamers are on another level to regular players with ridiculous hours in the game. I'm sure you'd be a lot better at stardew if it was literally your job!
If you're not doing a seeded run, then there's no reason not to be proud of that. He's using a ton of crazy strats that only work with bubbles and fishing buffs, which not every run will have.
I caught mine on the new 1.6 save on Spring 10 Year 2 on my first try 😂 it's really not a hard fish. None of the legendary fish are that hard. I caught the glacier fish first try as well. Heck, if you've seen my Shorts, I caught it on Day 27 of Spring Year 1. Also first try there.
I have a challenge for you: What’s the soonest date you can get all 7 Stardrops by? Hypothetically the soonest would be Fall 14, the day of the Fair. (I think that’s date anyway) Other than that, floor 100 of the mines would be easy, same with marriage, buying one from Krobus should be pretty easy as well, you’ll need to complete the museum anyway, which is one of the harder ones. Then there is Master Angler, which requires you to get to Ginger Island, going the Joja route would make it possible in time, then from Ginger Island, you can get Magic Bait to catch all the winter fish with. (I think legendary fish can be caught with Magic Bait?) You would also be able to get Deluxe Speed-Gro, which should enable you to grow the Sweet Gem Berry in time. (Maybe? Not sure of the exact grow time) So I think it’s all theoretically possible, but I’d love to see you do it.
You could grow sweet gem berries in the greenhouse (edit: or just get a seed with a fairy), so with DSG definitely it can be done before the first fair Honestly, this is altogether pretty viable? The hardest part would probably be the master angler just because you’d need to get the magic bait, but it is definitely doable by someone like BlaDe
It's great how you make it an entertaining educational video instead of a showing-off. And I'm here for the Gordon-content. I wish him an even longer healthy life on your lap. He seems so happy and peaceful
I lost my precious kitty just a few days ago. She was about 18 years old and I had her from when I was 5 years old. Make sure to give your kitty lots of love and treats if that's what he likes ❤
That was amazing! I am happy that I am not the only one being trolled by fish. Tried to switch from the fish to catching the treasure when the bar was almost full. Right then the fish decided to take the same route in the same speed. Of course there was not enough time to catch that treasure. Also caught a fish and the treasure chest shortly before 2 a.m., got the fish into the inventory, fainted and don't know to this day what was in the treasure chest because obviously the game ticks once before opening the treasure!
I just caught the legend on spring 28, year FOUR. beat that. 😉 In all seriousness, though, watching you demonstrate how to catch the Legend on your channel helped me overcome my fishing fear so i could finally do it myself. So thank you!!

Hope people stop griefing fishing after this. This is a mammoth amount of money. I always fish in spring year 1. Only thing higher in priority is mining. And once you have level 120, i mostly fish. Towards the end I do mine for sprinklers but fishing is what propels me to big returns in year 1. Fishing is best done before spring 13 if anyone is asking. All the money turns into strawberries. And yes Blade, this was awesome =)
I love these videos, I especially love the Gordon cam on most of the videos. I learn soo much as well. I have over 1000 hours in SDV but I still have much to learn.
It's no coincidence that Gordon is present for a fishing challenge. He's obviously BlaDe's Spirit Guide! Leap is a dog guy, so he'll never beat BlaDe. 😁 But seriously I love both you guys, and esp. when you and the rest of the group of SDV gamers play together...Matt McCleskey, SeanieDew, Therm, The Haboo, Brandigan, CharlieBarley, UnsurpassableZ, etc., and I'm not forgetting Mrs. BlaDe and the other partners! And I was so proud of myself for catching the Legend Year 1 _at all_, while doing a challenge that was basically nothing but fishing. That was, like, Spring 25. *sigh* (jk, this is great. I would not have the patience to do this)
I haven't watched much blade content before, but the fact that his whole chat just chills as they all watch his cat decide what to do next even though he's on a challenge run is hilarious. Great Job with the legend BTW. Although technically, that's a day 4 legend. If you're going to call it day 3, it should be before 12:00 haha
My Daily Luck and Weather Prediction Mod can be configured to just show the step count. However, the entire point of my runs is to do them on a vanilla client, so no mods.
Has the weather always been set for the first four days? I know day one has ALWAYS been sunny and day three has ALWAYS been rainy but I swear I had a save file a few years ago that had rain on day 2 and 3 (possibly 3 and 4?). Maybe it's more variable on the Switch... Or I just remember wrong, ha ha
You come into town after a long time at sea fishing. You heard that there is a new farmer in town so send them a letter to invite them over. You have an old rod they might like. They come and immediately grab the rod from your hand without letting you speak. A bit rude. And then they fish. They fish all day, only stopping to buy stuff from you. Your neighbor seems aware of the behaviour, having torn up his lawn yesterday when they got there. You think nothing of it. They fish until 2 pm and pass out from exhaustion. The next day it is rainy. You may have had a fleeting thought about the Legend, the fish in the lake. You had maybe attempted it a dozen times in your past, but whenever you tried, it always got away. The farmer is back again and just fishes. They throw out everything that isn't a fish, scattering fish on the dock before buying a new rod and leaving. It isn't until the next day that you hear the news. The legend was caught in the middle of the night. By that farmer. That farmer must have fished a lot before moving into town, because no one could become that good at fishing in two days, right?
I think your cat is the same brand as mine I dunno what mine is called but their faces and necks have the colour and then the white in the same place so I think i have the same brand as you Mines a bit darker though
Just spitballing here - I wonder if you could push the time you catch on day 3 even earlier by playing day 1 in multiplayer, having the other players also grinding money? I don't know if level 9 foraging is remotely feasible to accomplish in one day, but maybe there's some really insane seed with tons of forage spawns that makes it possible. I don't think continuing into day 2 for the foraging grind would offset the time loss for time not stopping while fishing, however time DOES stop even in multiplayer if the host is the only one online, so maybe you could use that to your advantage...
Money was no problem this run. I didn't even clay farm the entire day. The big obstacle is just fishing xp. You could pump money into crab pots on day 2 to harvest on day 3, but that is 1500g for 3xp.
