For you question about which AMS Lite roll goes to which hole, it doesn't matter as only 1 filament at a time can go through the 4-to-1 adapter, and the AMS Lite will pull back those not in use and push forward blindly the one that is in use. "Blindly" is not a problem in this case because it doesn't matter which of the 4 holes is being used as again only 1 can be used at a time and it just slides the filament through. As for putting the AMS Lite on top, normally I would agree with your concerns except for two points. First Makers Muse has a video where he printed on an A1 Mini hanging from a rope in mid-air with 0 printer impact. That was truly wild. Second there is a heavy duty over-engineered bracing system you can print for the A1 if you are going to put the AMS Lite on top, and from the A1s I have seen with this installed it looks rock solid. Given those two key factors, I wouldn't hesitate about putting the AMS Lite on top (meaning I would totally print and install the braces), or if I would put my A1 up close to a wall and mount the AMS Lite above it on the wall (I would lean heavily to the top mounted AMS Lite though so I could move the printer to wherever). I wasn't aware you all donated the money from the channel like that, now I am more glad I found your channel not too long ago. Keep up the great content!

You know it's interesting that you brought up the idea with the wall mounting because just the other day I came across a video seeing somebody who had an amazing setup of a bunch of AMS lites hung up on the wall and I thought that was an amazing idea. Then I go through the instructions on the A1 just brushing up before I did the unboxing video and I come across a sentence in there saying that it should not be mounted in that manner. So not really sure what to make of that. In any case My hope is to start working on doing some videos for some great accessories such as the dry box solution for the AMS lite And I just wonder how much weight is too much weight because even if it's not a matter of quality compromise I'm just nervous the thing will tilt over due to excess weight. Meanwhile I'm fully and totally aware that I'm being a little bit silly about it and then I'm sure if I do put the AMS lite on the top crossbar it would be fine. However I'm still more interested in doing the dry box solution and then having it wall mounted. Meantime thank you so much for The feedback and for watching. In future videos My hope is tall so start showing how we're implementing our donations in schools and combining that with interesting setups and 3D printed accessories to enhance deployments.

I would consider getting the printer, but I would skip the AMS lite…just so unwieldy. From everything I’ve seen, plus the one I got to play with in real life at work, it is an exceptional machine.

I know the size and construction of it is just so off-putting. I'm actually going to be exploring adding the dry box solution to it and I'm investigating some wall mounted solutions. Bambu Lab states that it doesn't recommend the wall mount solution and changing its orientation but I want to try to figure out why first and see if there's a way around their concern. The thing I really don't like about the regular AMS is that it's such a pain to remove filament that gets broken off inside of it etc. I found the AMS lite and Ace Pro so much friendlier and easier to clear issues. It's also a huge bummer that it's limited to one AMS Lite. Anyway thanks so much again for the feedback, You're continued participation in the channel and of course for watching.

damn, if I didn't already have my Prusa I'd get one of these. Hell I might still get one at some point

Makes a good helper. I also have my primary printers , but it's always great to have another printer to speed up projects. Thanks for the feedback and for watching

I tried the upright mount for the AMS and with 4 full spools the weight just seemed too much. I did end up mounting one AMS on the wall behind that printer which works out great.

Interesting , what did you use to mount the AMS onto the wall? I have seen several solutions but if yours worked great I would like to know and maybe give it a try. Thanks for the feedback and watching

The 3d printer market is dying anyhow, no one is innovating and everyone has stopped buying them. Can't copy bambulwb when they already tried to copy it and still aren't selling. Haven't seen much of anything new coming out as of late. Bakbulab had a good run, I wonder if they are struggling to sell well as they've dropped the price recently.

@@oneanother1 I'd say the market reached a plateau, those able to make use of the tech will make a mostly mature and stable market. The novelty has worn off though. Most improvements in FDM simply cost money in production, no more low hanging fruit. And Stratasys doesn't like the idea of heated chambers for everyone of course. You want excitement? Perhaps SLS will bring its own gold rush sonner or later. Isotropic nylon prints sound tempting!

@@robertmartinu8803 oh I do love printing nylon on fdm machines. Such a durable material for cheap. SLS nylon would be too expensive for everyday applications. Heated chamber isnt that big of a deal, just turn on the heated bed in an enclosure. Diy3d fdm printing is getting a bit boring, they have reach their full potential. No seems interested in them anymore.
