Hell let loose is a good stepping stone into milsims or its a good relaxing time for people who want a break from ultra hardcore fps shooters. Thats why i love it. It has a good blend of both worlds. Hoping the new updates get it back on track.
I’m playing HLL on PS5. Casual and on the weekends. It is the most fun I’ve had since playing video games as a teenager. The teamwork, communications and highs/lows of the game suck me in. I’m pretty happy with this update and the player community.
@@mercer4038eh, to each their own. Hell Let Loose hits a really nice sweet spot between something like Battlefield V and Squad for me. It does rely on teamwork and communication but it's more accessible than Squad and easier to have consistently good matches in my experience. Squad can be great when everything falls into place and people are on their A-game, but it can easily feel like a shambles and a snooze-fest often when Squad Leads aren't coordinating. A lackluster match in Squad is more likely IMO and just leaves me hating it. Whereas a lackluster match in Hell Let Loose can still have some cool moments.
Historical accuracy isn’t the most important thing but I do kinda like how they’re trying to make it accruate depending on maps. It makes the games feel more fresh too cuz you won’t always get to see every same weapon in all maps. For the most part most will be in every map but I like the idea they’re going with
mate that intro got you a subscription. seen a few vids of yours and been really enjoying but that was killer how that intro just flowed, and for me was informational as well. love your vids
Post Scriptrum and Hell let loose are both good WW2 games and in the end its up to player preferences on what you play. I personally prefer hell let loose on PS5 as my PC isnt strong enough for it or post scriptrum
@@ARBCOOL07 HLL has in the hardcore Genre a more casual approach. I wouldn't say that it's a classic milsim. I ain't saying that it's for 5yo CoD timmies
Yh if you're playing Commander, Officer, Spotter, Recon, and Armor you have to have to be using a mic no buts. I think servers should start applying a kick to officers not using mics.
I absolutely agree, but a legitimate question: What would actually induce players to use their microphones in this game? It is quite a relaxed game, quite casual, i always use my mic but people don't seem to talk back much. What do you think would make players want to use squad or proximity chat?
@@gabrielchcosta Well thats the annoying thing, you can't force people to use mics. Only change the mechanics so that not using a mic will makes things harder to do. For instance, putting down an OP could require another another squad member to be close by. Try organizing that without a mic.
@@TheObserversTV ¿? Do you know it's gonna get new updates and content? Is being rescued by Offworld Industries, devs of Squad, and since that announcement players are coming back "Static game, both demographically and technologically" You are just talking nonsense, buddy The gunplay, sound, tank gameplay and the teamwork you find in Post Scriptum is just better, is only gonna improve even more from now on 🤷♂ I say that cause I got both, PS and HLL, HLL has the nicer graphics in certain aspects like textures or interiors of houses and buildings, there's more clutter in general in the maps which makes it feel a little more detailed. But I just feel like PS is the better game and I'm sure the graphics are going to improve too now that Offworld Industries is in charge.
@@eloverlord96 OffWorld Industries limits itself to only PC, this is especially bad for Tactical FPS, I'm not saying that PS wont get new updates, but they won't be near the size or timely release as will be HLL if the HLL-devs get their priorities straight, we know that the future for this genre is also in console gaming, the devs for HLL put their game through bad updates and its been broken for a while, is lucky to still be alive because of consoles, if it was only on PC, it wouldn't have the resources to cope with the losses and release new health/QOL updates like they're decently doing now, and would eventually die out to PS.
@@TheObserversTV The thing is I expect better from the devs of Squad, Offworld Industries than the devs of HLL, because of those bad updates they had and because PS tends to be more realistic, which I prefer. Of course I hope that the devs of HLL get on track and end up releasing updates of good quality and with amounts of content, that would get me back to HLL. Is just that seeing the work that OI has done with Squad I think PS is going to have a brighter future, also Squad is only on PC and look at how many people play it and how many updates and improvements that game has gone through. You where shitting on PS because it isn't on console is what I get from what you are saying now ¿? But again, if it is because of that, look at Squad and how many people play it + all the years that's being alive with constant updates, a game doesn't need to be on console to have a long life, good support and a healthy player base. Also, the majority of tactical FPS games belong to PC. Of course if more people could play games like those, on consoles, the better, more options for them.
Man all the PS players are here and I disagree with the Teamwork part Slorgs HLL needs tactics to win just like PS and Squad. It depends on whether your team is full of experienced or new players.
Had the game since day one but played less than 20 minutes as it’s not a game for solo mutes, since the shooting range update I’ve been able to learn bits but still to terrified to play. Still think it’s a cracking game.
I've seen the PS v. HLL in the comments here and as someone who plays both, avidly, the arguments people are making are, imo, irrelevant. They are two completely different games with many similarities, like Oranges and Tangerines. Hell Let Loose is a fantastic game where graphics are on the forefront, it is a great in between game for those who are Battlefield players and Squad's milsim realism. It bridges the gap between the casual and hardcore player. PS is another great game with great bullet and munition physics, but janky in player movement (people's character models moving at warp speed when doing the zig zag dodge) and sandbox maps. PS is a great game for the more hardcore Squad type player and can be very unforgiving for a new comer. The conversation shouldnt be this one is better than that, in reality, it is all up to personal preference.
@@xeon39688 Played both, and in no way besides graphics is HHL better than PS. The simple fact players in PS must value their lives or cause their team to lose faster, makes PS better. The realistic sounds and gun play, as well, the vehicle combat in PS is far superior to HLL. Teamwork and communication are the common experiences in PS, while HLL you're lucky to find someone else using a mic.
Yes but sadly it isn't the same game as it was. I gave the game a break for half a year and poured hours into it originally....coming back, it was cool to see all the new things in the game but no one communicated in the game. Originally, I would leave a server if the commander wasn't using a mic and find another, but normally players would boot that commander...but now hardly anyone uses a mic on the active serves I originally played in. It's a casual game now. Squads that communicate versus squads that don't communicate is a no-brainer who is going to perform better. The "Ping" system is now worse, there's more to communication than to ping a location repeatedly. I think this is now the perfect game for people getting into milsims, that isn't a run-n-gun game and isn't vigorous like the game Squad. It will be interesting to see how HHL will continue.
I have a problem, I just bought the game, and altough I have a very good pc, it still stutters a lot. And yes i already use dx12. Tried every in game setting aswell. Please help if you can, thanks!!
from my own perspective, the discount that happened on the game a few days ago has SIGNIFICANTLY affected gameplay (negatively). Why? Because now more than ever, on the regular, good servers I've always played on without any issues, suddenly has become a teamkilling frenzy of new players. If you do decide to get the game, don't be the guy who has to ruin the fun for other players because you didn't immediately find a fun way to play the game. It took me a hot minute, but take a small bit of time to level machine gunner and use the MG42 on the German side. With correct positioning mowing down enemies is where it's at for me.
I like HLL but saying this is the perfect time to play is a bit of an overstatement imo. It’s decent becuase they finally added content but playing with friends is very difficult
comment section: "post scriptum better" . Nobody cares for real, made for a different audience. Btw, you guys should use the ping system (middle mouse) to spot enemies for each other.
I dont know what servers u playing in but on the ones i know u definitly get kicked for not using your mic, u dont have to go to post scriptum for squad experiences. But otherwise you are right, it's not a full milsim either but more like a hardcore battlefield
Nah, ill be playing Post Scriptum where people actually communicate and work together and play tactically. Along with the superb sound design and armor gameplay. HLL is too casual just cod with extra steps.
The game by itself is not laggy. Their servers are just ass, i.e. high ping. The ping is causing laggs. I'm playing on a GTX 1660 and i7 and have 100fps
i stopped playing this game, but to me the biggest issue with these games is always the graphics. with pretty graphics you cant see anyone, lower the settings to low and you instantly see everyone. then the constant airstrikes were always a pain. it looks alright this update
I completely disagree with the take that it is a game where you can turn off your head and not communicate. The levels you can take the game when you do commuicate makes the game so much better
You can make lots of enemies if you won't communicate. Like if the SL tries to play properly and you are not willed to talk, then your ass will be kicked out. I think that's fair.
I bought Hell let loose 6 weeks ago and every time I get in game after a few minutes I loose connection to server. I’m on series x. I see online a lot of players have the same problem. Has anyone found a fix out there? Very frustrating.
All the PS fans here saying “play Post Scriptum instead” forget that PS can only do so much because it’s a PC exclusive😂 Hence why the game was and is “dead”. Yes the game may have some better mechanics than HLL, but without a player base that grows, you won’t be getting regular updates if not any. This is exactly why HLL is the superior of the 2, because of the ability to play on both PC and console the game is always growing, allowing new content and updates to be added. This is why HLL succeeded the way it did and PS failed. Yes I am glad that PS is finally getting the attention it deserves but like I said, you can only offer so much with a small isolated player base. So if they want to succeed the game must come to console…
Also you got the sickest nut shot and also yea thats one of my biggest gripes about the game is how absolutely slow you level up the classes its god awful
Seeing all the coms regarding PS here just makes me never want to install PS, i might run into some guys that commented bleah. Everyone is free to play what they like, f off with the PS,garbage game
I just tried it two days ago and its as awful as I remember. Having your mid spawn point/arty camped by recon is so dumb, and its intended gameplay since recon arent restricted from being way out of play. Worst experience ever, however it did get me to reinstall post scriptum which is amazing aside from stagnating because its development is way less active than squad.
Now that OWI took over Post Scriptum and handed its development to one of Post Scriptum biggest modding team, it will soon be having lots of updates and new features added. The mod team alone has tons of assets, maps, and even new theaters, they can quickly add to the main game. With OWI having the means of improving the graphics and stability, it wont even be a lot of extra work for them to make PS what it originally set out to be!
Personal opinion....but I'm just soooo tired of WW2 environments. It's been done to death in all forms of entertainment (TV, movie, games, etc). I much prefer other eras of FPS...or really *any* kind of game. Personally Squad is awesome!
I feel Squad is more engaging. Rarely does anyone talk in HLL and I find myself just dying instantly. Just a constant cycle of die, bleed out, wait for spawn, run back to the battle, instantly die again without a chance to react, and repeat. The moment to moment doesn't feel engaging. I have 800 hours in Squad and I thought maybe I can use some of what I learned in Squad in HLL, but apparently it doesn't transfer that well. Or maybe I'm just playing wrong.
You want that view, but better ? Try DCS. I tried Hell let loose, but i was always more aviation guy, if you give me tanks or gun in hand i suck, but jets ? They feel like home.
