'Now is the Time' Scene | Rambo (2008) 

“I won’t slow you down…” love the pure irony in this statement those mercenaries may be good in combat but Rambo is literally a one-man army 😂😂

A truly underrated film, wasn't just a typical action film, it exposes the horrors of shit that's actually happening in these horrible places.

I love the different levels of experience at play here. These are all trained killers, but compared to Rambo they are still essentially children. It's kind of a wild perspective to give to the viewer.

This is honestly the best Rambo movie.

That moment when you realize the guy you mocked for his thousand yard stare has that stare for a reason.

SAS guy was a badass but Rambo is on another level

Rambo was hard arse.... but the SAS guy with the arrow to his face..... it showed he was a hard arse too.... earnt his 1000 yard stare.... and Rambo knew it..... he just needed to steer him in the right direction

This was a great movie. Fans had the idea Rambo was bad ass. But in this movie. They actually see it.

I'm sure those mercenaries are good at what they do,but still haven't even had a taste of what Rambo has been through,and to quote Colonel Troutman...a man who's the best with guns,knives,with his bare hands,to ignore weather,ignore pain,to live off the land to eat things that would make a billy goat puke,in Vietnam his job was to dispose of enemy personnel,to kill period win by attrition,well Rambo was the best!

This what I did to my squad in DMZ on Modern Warfare 2 when they wanted to extract without our teammate who was left behind.

For an SAS operative letting a random person tag along on an already dangerous operation is out of the question, that's why he didn't let him come originally.

The last scene,when Rambo is on the mounted gun,is gnarly as fuck.

Stallone directed the hell out of these scenes. the starting banters on the boat, the slow suspenseful build up with the forest & village scenes & finally the payoff with the arrow to the face arc. Amazing 🥰

SAS guy was hard as nails and both he and Rambo were worthy of each other's respect and admiration. Sadly, too many of my countrymen are too busy fanboying over Rambo and chanting "USA!" to see this. Guy clearly had skills to be on the mission in the first place, life as a mercenary requires balls and skills to make a career of it, he was stoic in the face of death by arrow to the face, and - most of all - he carried on fighting as if nothing was wrong even though leg was fucked up.

This movie set the standard for action movies for me. Almost no other movie has come close in 16 years. Crazy it's been that long since it came out. This movie was truly ahead of it's time and I know that's an overused quote but in this case it's true.

Great Movie

This is one of my favorite actor he's extremely underrated. Because his life he should have got more Oscars even at his age is movies are extremely good I love all his Rocky and Rambo movies he's amazing too bad we cannot have an idea like this for another 30 or 40 years. Let’s not forget the fact that wars still has been happening over there in Myanmar between the rebels and the Burmese military soldiers. This scene is just a depiction of the experiences that victims have saw and described it unfortunately. There’s another scene with the raiding of the village in this movie, and victims who made it out alive actually describe what it’s like being in their situation and what they saw.

The shot in the back to the dude reaching for the gun was kinda crazy. The arrow goes through, hits the armour plating on the truck and it breaks the arrow head off. Imagine that feeling being the guy, the reverberations of the whole arrow while it's in your body. I don't think the second shot was necessary. I think he would have just shit his pants and died right there in a couple of seconds after the shock wore off.

This movie is just so intense and visceral. its a great movie. its in my top 10 honestly. its hyper realistic. The bald merc leader says, he doesnt need this shit, hes got a wife and kids, and this is just too much for them, after seeing all the dead bodies and flies and the heads on pikes. But this is a story of saving someone. These missionaries, who are trying to do good, just dont realize what world they are in. They entered a different earth, a different reality. a reality where bodies get strung up and they cut of limbs and mass kill ethic minorities by engaging in terrorism and genocide. the reality of countries that get inflicted by genocide is just too much. But rambo tells them they arent leaving. That those people need them, and they are doing this. when the bald merc leader threatens to kill rambo, rambo lifts up the bow right at him ready to kill him. lets not forget this is after rambo shoots 6 arrows and never misses a shot and kills 4 people with them. Then the nighttimecompound stealth infiltration, so fucking sick. when the bald man leaves rambo and goes to the others, he threatenms the other guys life and says hes going home , were leaving, back to his usual ways. very realistic. this movie is awesome.

There is one scene that I would have liked to have seen in this movie.. The Merc's' at some point ask his name. He says, John Rambo. and they say, your John Rambo? Their faces blown away as they all heard of him. Oh well. It was still a kick ass movie.
