Glad you enjoyed. The beach was pristine. It was quite stormy the first few days we were there and lots of seaweed drifted in, but the resort was out every morning with a tractor cleaning the beach. They did a great job!

@@ThePaperCupGarden Last visit to Now Larimar for me was 2015... Did you stroll over to SRB and check out its renos as well? Again - thanks for sharing - if there were room renos appreciate seeing those changes too...

@@scottjcrawford no, I was there with my family so we stuck to the Larimar side. We did go for dinner at the gardens side, so I have a little footage from that. I am hoping to have a room tour up this weekend.

If I translated you correctly ("Nothing has changed since you were there four years ago") I was not at the resort before the renovations, but for a video posted a year ago (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tGQFuJeuMa0.html) it looks like they updated the lobby, entertainment area, added a new Preferred Members Pool, and first floor resort facing swim out rooms.

We booked in October 2019 while it was still under renovations. We debated on canceling our trip as departure was getting closer. When we went, airports were not yet closed and the DR only had 1 reported case. The resort is kept in immaculate condition and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I am hearing rumors that the resort is taking the "opportunity" of the current shut down to renovate the Secrets side and that Larimar may be re-branding as Secrets and vice versa. Regardless, I hope that this resort (and DR Tourism) is not overly effected by the current world issue. The people of the DR are hard working people and I would like to see tourism there thriving again once the crisis is over.

We liked this one better. However, it was a different experience. When we went to Royalton it was newly opened and the staff was far from ready. Now the staff get great reviews. I have a young family. IMHO Royalton has great activities for young teens and adults. My kids are too young for the Florider. Now Larimar was more relaxed. That said Now Larimar is now Secrets and I don't know what changes they made to the former Secrets to make it family friendly.

Actually Now Larimar became Dreams Royal Beach and I booked it for April. I’m going also with my 4 year old and I will let you know my thoughts. I researched a lot and this is the best option!

@@ThePaperCupGarden I got confused by the names Secrets and Dreams... this video is from Secrets (adults only) and I stayed at Dreams right next door and it was great. :)
