I love the videos. Doesn't matter jeep or stupid stuff. I grew up on a junk yard. That's my schooling. I wish we still had it. County pushed to clean the old junk yards. I got 5 boys. Number 1 diesel/auto tech number 2 welding heavy eq mech number 3 auto body restoration 4 and 5 still in school. I think you'll love the little ones. I took every opportunity to pass on what I know. Keep the vids coming.
Dex, you don't have a mental problem lol. You are just meticulous and excited about making something that you love, better. The day that you lose that excitement is the day that you sell it all and move to the Philippines. Keep the excitement going, you are doing great! You project that "lightning in a bottle" wholesomeness that people enjoy. Keep at it!
If you have issues with wheel weights again, try Equal. It’s like a chalky powder. Works really well! I used it with 31x12.50 boggers in my yj. No issues at all. Even at interstate speeds.
I just put the melling in my 98. It definitely helped. But still when fully warmed up, not under any load, it’ll drop to almost 0. I’m guessing it’s just wear on all the metal on metal parts over time causing some loss of oil pressure.
So it’d be cool if you would do a series so like pick a random jeep make it cool then tear it up in the hills or something. But we definitely want to see all these jeeps being used
Hey Dex, instead of wheel weights, have you thought about using balancing beads? Not airsoft bb's, but actual balance beads. They work great when used correctly.
Love your content! Also Jeep guys, I’m looking to buy the older WJ’s. Would you recommend them? Are the ZJ’s or XJ’s any better? I’m looking to stick with the 4.0L. And get into overlanding. What are y’all’s opinions
Ur wife don’t need to quit her job.lol if u hire a editor ur followers will increase. Ur doing great. What I’ve seen following other RU-vidRS when they hire another camera person/editor they definitely grow. Your great at Jeeps. Hire someone great at camera work😉
I have my Cherokee build, died on a trail, I think it's that same oil pressure thing maybe, it starts up, runs for about 5 minutes then just turns off, I have replaced the entire gas tank, oil pump 4 times...all coolant lines, hydraulic lines, everything is new under the jeep, I still can't figure out wtf is going on lol, if anyone has an idea of what it could be would be appreciated, love your videos dex! Wish I could come give ya hand.
The bigger the lift on the leaf pack the more the shackle angle needs to be adjusted so yes they are needed. I'm going thru the same thing in my 2000xj. My rear shackles are vertical and it rides like a log truck and don't flex very much😂 i got Ironman 4x4 shackle relocation kit but ain't got it installed yet, not until my new engine is up and running which will be Tuesday afternoon
The reason being is in most leaf packs, they get the height by making more of an arch which effectively makes them shorter bushing to bushing. That's why the shackle relocation kit fixes it coz then you can make up for the short leaf packs length
