Totally agree. People don't seem to realize he was the only 450 rider who didn't already have a sx setup for their bike to just plug in as a baseline. They probably spent the last 2 weeks just testing trying to get a setup. He looked super uncomfortable in moto 1 and was substantially faster in the 2nd which points to a setup issue.
Any weekend Kenny, AC and Chase all do well is a good weekend imo!! AC and Kenny have fought thru so many physical issues, and Chase has dealt with so much mental stress, I love seeing these dudes ride well and get back to enjoying the races! Shoutout to Far East Coast too.... That wasn't no Average Joe, he was straight rolling and I hope he keeps it going and takes that SMX title! ✌️

Fam… you probably don’t read ”this but way back in 06 I watch my first race in person at hangtown… one of my best homies (Italian carpenter buddy I framed with my whole adult life) asked if I ride. I was like hell na thats white folk shi… he said what about bubba!? Was like “who” he said awe hell naw your coming to hangtown. I was hooked for life. He started me out on a 99 Kawi 250 2 smoker he had. Then I bought a 07 yz250f in 07, then I told the wife I was buying a 17 yz450f randomly after work in 17. She was hella mad when I pulled up after work with a new bike hahhaa. She got over it almost instantly. Still have my beast. Man I love riding and would never have if it wasn’t for you!!!! Deegan and Shimoda are absolutely my favorites coming in and moving on... Shimoda deserves it but he needs to be aggressive!!! Deegan has the speed and aggressiveness but not the experience.... Can't wait to see it til the end!!!

One thing JS7 missed about Hunter and Jett is they are riding MXDN and this year is the best year Australia has ever had of winning. Their major priority maybe MXDN not SMX. To be the first Aussies ever to win MXDN is a big achievement as the USA Team is in shambles a laughing stock.

Agree. Not everyone is convinced at the longevity of smx. But as an Aussie, we've never won a mxdn and that has a prestigious history. I don't think they would push their limits and risk an injury this close to mxdn

Pretty sure I heard that Deegan was dealing with a small illness. So you can imagine. He rode as good as he did feeling a little sick and still kept it up front.

Funny thing Chase was on Full supercross suspension, and said he loved it. But the Lawrence Brothers, not so good. dont ask what happened to Jetts starts, that was a strong point for him. He just was not comfortable at NCarolina

Jett and Hunter showed up a bit "flat" in intensity. Probably due to golfing, rather than taking the SMX seriously. So this led to suspension and start issues for both. Jett will simply turn it around and go.....Hunter? we shall see.
it's possible, but not a good idea to bring it up after the fact. iunno. if I had a dedicated press core or writer, he would have definitely rephrased it to something like, "yeah. I just tightened up midway through. I think the practice crash came back to bite me."
