I'm so excited for you guys!! Over the weekend I told my husband,"Sam and Angela are moving their home Wednesday"! He said "that's the family you've been watching to help with the electrical and cabinet ideas"? Lol! He does listen! Told him I would be watching y'alls tear down system, too. The great thing with old tractors is that they do not have a lot to go wrong with them. They were also built when manufacturer knew that a farmer expected to have one tractor for his farming life so they last.

Sam nice job in prep and moving the gravel. Gravel driveways need to be crowned for water runoff. You do not want standing water as it creates soft spots. Yes love circle driveways!!!

Thank you for your appraisal of fixing the challenge of the ruts. There is a road cloth people can put on first and placing the gravel over it. I don't see people using it very often. Do you know if the additional expense isn't worth it or if it causes more trouble than it's worth? Thanks ahead of time for any response to this question.

The cost is very high. Around $2,000 for our driveway. But the real reason we decided not to get it is because you can never use a box blade or rippers to resurface your drive later. Not without running the risk of tearing up the fabric.

Hey Sam, no expert here for sure but we were told it's better to have a crown for drainage 🤷. We'll also be getting another load of gravel soon. We got the chunky stuff first time two years ago so we would have a solid base. This time we're gonna go with a smaller gravel, possibly mixed with a base for a more finished look and feel. We'll see what the experts recommend though lol. House is sold moving down in June 😁😁😁. Can't wait to see the house set woohoo let's go!!! That is some interesting choice of music 🤣

You need to add some weight to the blade that will help. You can use anything heavy just strap it to the blade.

y'all gotta get a storm cellar. Hopefully you won't have to use it in case of an emergency, but old timers use to use theirs for storing canned goods and some root vegetables. But in that state and the ones above and to the west of it, tornadoes are just a fact. May it never happen to you, but anything is better than nothing. Love watching all of this come together! Laughing at the boys laying claim to the pile of stone right away. 😁 It should really have helped with the shed move, and then the house move. I'm not sure how far ahead you are, but I saw the post about the soap shack making its way to the new homestead. So at the very least, having that firm base for the delivery vehicles to drive on must be a huge relief for you. Tidying and pretty ideas can happen as and when, what you need at the moment is functionality, and it looks like you've got that. Good luck with the rest of the move. Stay safe, everyone.

Its incredibly frustrating waiting for a delivery . I find it so anyway . Because I live in an apartment block , and the main entrance door has a keypad security , I always have to jump fast to get to answer it otherwise the delivery guy thinks theres no one in !

In the first part where you’re using the tiller, how in the world did you work that fast? What kinda energy drinks are you using? Jk. Just thought I’d pick a bit. And that tractor has got to be extremely old! The motor noise reminded me of the car in chatty-chitty bang bang! Lol But it works really well. Lastly, we ordered 3 bars of soap (dirt and two more) and a set of coasters with our name on them. The soaps smell great. In truth, we didn’t know the dirt would smell like dirt. We thought it was due to its looks. But it’s cool anyway. Gonna use it to wash our 7 fur babies. The coasters are an absolute work of art! We will be ordering again the future. Thanks so much for a)a wholesome RU-vid channel that we can enjoy, b) great products for us to enjoy, and c) being down to earth and real people.

Looking great. Tension is mounting!! Lol. Fair warning, we flipped our trailer end for end to build our home. It was so weird looking out the windows and it not being what we expected. I would head the wrong direction. I even got slightly nauseated when I looked out the window. It passed, but was weird. Can’t wait for your home to be home! And you, too!! Just thought I’d warn you.
