Awesome video... On the door sliders just make sure you slide them between the curved part. DO NOT JUST SLIDE THEM IN THE HOLE. IT HAS TO GLIDE ON IT. That's why he was having problem at the end (not being able to screw all the way with out the door getting stuck, and having to release the outside screws because the slide was hitting it. HOPE THAT HELPS.

Thank you for making this video! I wished I had it before I started building mine (10x14)! The manual is awful, the quality is bad, and the Arrow company videos are worthless. But your video is very helpful. I'm installing the doors and your video shows me what I need to see, as the manual is a joke. I appreciate you providing this!

badass video. helped a ton. instructions have been updated for this exact shed but its not much of an update. I did notice you put the door slides completely on the inside of the track. they should straddle it which is why your outside screws were too long and jamming the door up. figured I would add my 2 cents to help as you helped me. thanks buddy

Thanks for the video, it helped me a lot. As well drafted as the instructions were, they lacked details you provided in your video. Very well put together. At around 19:20 the door slides, if you look at the white plastic sliders, you'll see that they have grooves in them. If you set the grooves between the tall upper and short lower rails edges instead of inside the channel, you'll fix your door issue.

Thank you for taking the time to make the video. 2 things I noticed that you may want to add to your video. 1. The door slides are installed incorrectly. The door track needs to go into the center of the door slides. You almost installed in correctly at 19:20. Look at the End View diagram in the instruction manual.. 2. The gable should be tucked under the side walls. You had the gable sitting on top of the side walls. See 34:41 and 35:40 Good job on the video. It was much better than look at the manual.

I had to empty one of them and move it the next day. Unfortunately, that night there was a wind storm and I didn't have to move it anymore. The wind moved it for me. Now I get sheds built by Costco or Home Depot. They cost a lot more but, they are bigger, made of wood, and I am not the one putting them together.

I filled the underside of the threshold where the doors slide with vinyl patch, its like concrete but doesnt crack and is not corrosive. Doing this makes it solid to where a heavy object, in my case a 800 pound Harley Davidson will not bend the threshold. I strongly suggest this! 7 dollars worth of vinyl patch, you will thank yourself later. just make sure you clean out the drain holes and use your finger in the fresh mixture to make slight channels fir water to drain to the front.
@Steve_Edberg
@Steve_Edberg 2 года назад
I tried that but unfortunately the flexing of the threshhold made it crack apart. It would probably work great on a concrete pad but on dirt or grass it doesn't seem to help much.

Just built one in two 3 hour sessions after work. Alone. My gf said thanks but also got mad cause I made one small mistake. I put the roof panels that had side holes for the table in the middle and you could see light through. I just used the tap screws and screwed through the panels that were at the gable. I taped outside and patched inside you can't even tell but now she's worried about the floor. I haven't built the floor kit yet but where it is one corner is on a tree root so to level it I had tolift the other corners. Now I have a 6 inch gap some places. I filled alot with bricks now gonna fill with dirt but worried the floor kit will sit so it doesn'tput the plywood in the right position

Thanks for the video. I wanted a refresher and needed to get my nerve up for my second build of one of these sheds from hell. You probably are aware by now that you made a few mistakes during construction. However, I do not blame you at all. The instructions can be very confusing and almost impossible in some cases to tell when you're supposed to use a screw or a nut and bolt. Holes don't line up and on the rare occasion when they do stripping out the hole is inevitable. I think the manufacturer (China) throws any kind of alloy (probably a lot of aluminum and lead) available into the pot to make the sheets that are then stamped out into the component parts. I picked up a box of #10 1/2" screws for backups in the case of a stripped hole. I'm waiting for a true to life video complete with the requisite cussing and frustrated throwing of objects. I said this the first time, but I guess I didn't take myself seriously enough, but I mean it this time I WILL NEVER PUT ANOTHER ONE OF THESE TOGETHER AGAIN! I feel much better now that I've been allowed to vent. Thank you.

i found that working on it at small intervals helped. longest interval i worked on was the roof, about 3 hours. the price is worth the hassle in my opinion, any other storage solution is upwards of $1K. the house i moved came with a small arrow shed, was probably installed in the late 90s and the thing is holding up pretty well, only minor rusting at the front bottom. that was reason #2 why i bought the new one, the Woodridge.

Great Video . I've seen a bunch and this is the best one. Very thorough . My shed is much smaller but the assembly techniques apply to all the Arrow sheds. As an aircraft mechanic I cringed every time I saw dirt . You may see some corrosion down the line. Have you noticed any yet? It'll probably take years especially if it doesn't rain much.

Ours is a little different because it's not an A frame roof but more a barn style...But pretty much the same. So after I don't know how many days of building and how many times I've said "these holes don't align..." I actually ran into something that I couldn't see in your video how to do...The last middle ridge cap....Did you install it BEFORE putting in the last panels? I installed all panels and now I can't reach where the middle and front ridge cap meet... I think I have to pull a panel down, and what..just slide it under the ridge cap? OoF!! This one's a doozy. Anyway. Thank you for guiding us this far! We're almost there!!! EDIT: Ended up taking one panel down! ALL is well so far :)

The problem everyone is having with the doors sliding is because the sliders don't go totally on the inside of the track they set in the gap with a lip on the outside and inside of the track which allows for tightening of the doors and space to miss the bolts inside the track when sliding.

The floor kit came with mine but, I did buy the wood for the floor. You do not have to use the floor kit but, you might want to do something to secure it to the ground. These sheds hate the wind and will fly away if they are not nailed down. (Speaking from experience).

I followed the video to place the insert inside the track. Then I found out the insert failed to slide due to the screws are in the way. After reading the manual man times, its drawing (not instruction words) shows the insert must be "on" (not "in") the track so I had to undo to remove then re-place the inserts. I want to thank L2Survive for the good work that saves people time- It really help the ARROW manufacture in lessening the learning curve. Waring to the ARROW shed owner--- The ARROW shed does not use picture mage as the world embrace, it still uses the traditional engineering schematic. Although the description is correct, but can miss important details. It requires the user study the schematic (illustration) carefully, you can't just assume the description gives all the right amount of information.

Hey L2Survive, We helped a older gentleman friend of ours put this exact shed together. He had ordered the extra wood for the basic floor, so he got four sheets of plywood. ( i think, I didn't physically go count them.) We built it for him because he had asked two other people to do it and they turned him down saying it was too complicated. It took us a day and a half, because the first day we forgot the charger to the drill and it was dead and had to hand screw everything in. The second day was mainly just the roof. Now we are on the floor and the kit didn't seem to come with directions for the flooring kit. How did you manage to get yours together? Did you have to call for another direction book or ? Maybe I am over looking something? We wanted to try and finish it for him tomorrow, but he also wants it slightly up off the ground because it will be storing his personals for a couple years while he saves more money to have a house built on his plot of land. Thanks for the video and any advice!

There was a separate page that showed the floor and even the different cuts of wood to use to make it fit properly. If you cannot find that, at the 0:50 mark ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9HvawHjnbBg.html you can see what the floor kit is suppose to look like when it is done. Hope that helps.

How did you get the roof screws in? Most of our holes did not line up

Make sure you have the right sheet of metal and make sure that everything is square. If you mess up on the first sheet, it will cause the rest to be off.

Just a friendly FYI, you put those slide blocks in at the top of the door wrong. The entire block doesn't go into the track like you did it, but just the back part of it. Once you do that you can tighten everything down just fine and nothing will interfere.

Yep. Although, with those instructions, the rest of it went up pretty well. I no longer have those sheds. One got destroyed by a moth or a gentle breeze. The other I left with the homeowner. Shipping containers for me from now on.

Appears to me, your biggest problem is dirty parts!!!

Good vid. You helped wit the doors. Lol & another thing. Those plastic strips on the gables were pose to be removed after you put the end pieces of the roof. Other than that this vid was helpful.

Richard Luebano I just bought a second one of these sheds and you all have corrected my mistakes so, it should be easier this time around.

I would have definitely have put a 6 mil black poly vapor barrier underneath it. You will have problems with moisture and insects in there during the warmer months and it will rust quicker. Don't store anything that will grow mold.

alan30189 We put a sealant on the bottom of the wood floor. It was like $15 per can but, they said that I will not have an issue with the wood. There are a couple of gaps on the floor though so, creepy crawlies can get in.

My shed was fine until the roof assembly started. After the 1st 2 panels it was trash. None of the holes lined up & had to drill my own holes.

Same here lol!! i think the problem was that I did not square the top corners!! at the end i did it and it was off like 1/2 an inch!! That half a inch makes a big difference!!!

I got the 10x10 version of this shed. How did you put the bolts into the roof peak caps where the two caps meet? Did you have to lay on the roof? Seems sketchy.

The plastic door slides should not travel inside the door track BUT to ride over the lower part of the door track. Even though the manual is of a poor quality, the plastic door slides are presented/shown correct!

Actually, if you look at the very beginning of the video, you see them down. It looked like it was suppose to be part of the beginning of the instructions when it was actually suppose to be the very last thing we did before putting the wood floor down. We kept tripping on them during the entire build and had to take them out after this video and put them back in to get the floor to be supported the correct way. Do them last.
