Totally understand the season you prefer. In Edmonton, where you came to in Canada, our race season starts end of April and ends end of September. If we are lucky. That’s 7 months to prepare for race season with no where to test 😂

Well, Shawn, I love my Washington weather we definitely have 4 seasons. I have a son Casey he lives in Missoula, Montana and it is so beautiful there, but I would not live there either, I keep trying to talk him into moving home. He is an architect and has his own firm and has way too much business to move. Lots of work and beautiful cabins and homes to build in a beautiful setting. Drivers generally seem to be happier, racing like this then they do with the big production, crews around. It’s like they’re having fun again.

This is not directed towards the drivers or their teams but it IS directed towards whoever “ They” is . I’m posting it here bc maybe other fans can convince “ They” to answer the drivers AND the fans questions. By keeping everyone in the dark ( I’m assuming it’s Sam and co ) how can they expect to keep up fan interest when “ they” can’t tell us what’s going on? We had to wait to find out the first 3 races were non points races,. How do you think those thousands of fans at those 3 venues felt when they shell out their hard earned money for what amounted to 3 grudge nights with nothing really at stake? Moving on it seemed we FINALLY knew how the points would be awarded etc until the infamous “ they” decided to have a 16 car 4 race “ elite” deal and we still don’t know what THAT looks like or how these final races will determine a season winner. At the end of the day ( as is usually the case when something cool like NPK goes away ) it won’t be the competitors that drive away fans it’ll be the indecisiveness of “ they” who apparently have been totally making this shit up as “ they “ go along and expecting the casual fan of the show ( let’s be honest here most aren’t hardcore like some of us who religiously follow this series ) and if you lose them, you’ve completely lost the plot. Shawn , Danny, please tell “ they” to at least come up with a solid plan for next season bc for many, this changing stuff every few weeks for no reason will drive people away.

Another thing that could be effected by ONLY 16 racing no matter what could be that in the last couple of races before that deal begins, when people realize that they aren’t going get into the final field, and maybe they either quit giving it their all or possibly not even showing up. That stunts the whole event. Likely staying home. I agree with you Phantom. There should be some form of potential participation, or reason for them to be there to maybe compete, etc. Doesn’t make sense when you have all season has people winning events (and getting all points instead of maybe half points) because they drew a “lucky” chip! Not very well planned.

Welding headers, I never see you guys flame annealing after welding to take out the [work] hardness and normalize the weld and surrounding material. Every time you weld its getting harder and it will keep cracking. Check with a metallurgist he will explain Rockwell hardness and the annealing process. Not a CW
