How nice it is to see such a capable and passionate person explain a subject with such wisdom and commendable disinterest. When this happens is when I think how lucky I was to take English language classes. This brings me closer to the knowledge and to enjoy a real lesson in Agronomy. From my beloved land of Argentina, I stand up to applaud you master.
I've taken a lot of classes, read tons of books and everything else and Harley makes everything simple, easy to understand for everyone, and then explains how you can actually make real changes to fix a plant's issues to grow amazing plants. Thank You Harley & NPK for giving people the control over their plants and educating us all in how to be experts.
Over the years I have seen and heard of many persons claiming to be so called ''plant doctors'' but for Harley this title is well deserved in my opinion, he is absolutely in a class of his own. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge you are a 1st class lecturer.
In my opinion Harley Smith is by far the most knowledgeable speaker about plant growth and biology I've seen so far. Keep up the great work! Never lose that passion.
I just ordered your whole line of products Harley. Your videos are on speakers in my house on loop daily lol. For so long I've been annoyed with nutrient companies because of the fact that we don't have control of the multiple ingredients/macro micro nutes that they load into there products. Im hoping to have a more tactical and direct way of feeding with your products. They'll be here in 2 days. Keep it up Harley and NPK, we're watching
I've taken some of Harleys classes he is the best and he really knows his stuff. He is taught me so much about the elements that I am getting explosive plant growth in everything I do and now I can almost immediately diagnose what each type of plant wants or likes. NPK makes excellent products too, they're very concentrated and a little package will probably last you years. You can tweak things at specific times of grow or bloom and what they are is the raw materials every major fertilizer company's fertilizers. Except they're in the most valuable dissolvable form and top-notch. I like them so much I become a dealer. And yes this does apply to the marijuana cannabis industry as well. Many people want to know that because they are growing their own medicines and want good production and the highest quality. Harley can definitely teach you everything about quality. I'd rate him as probably one of the best plant biologists in the world, and he's been all over the world. I periodically come back to his videos to refresh my experience so I don't forget things. Sometimes it does take a while to absorb but if you do it over and over again you'll get it and you'll be glad you did. Thanks Harley and thanks NPK for this video. You guys rock. Robert Sandera
Hi Robert, thanks for the compliment! It's a good idea to always be learning and re-learning things we've forgotten. If Harley is still constantly learning new things, so should everyone else! Peace!
Harley Smith is my new hero! I really like how excited he gets teaching about plant anatomy and nutrients. You can see he enjoys teaching and it makes me pay attention. Thanks Harley, for all you do.
Thanks Harley your videos are full of valuable knowledge. Its great you do this for free an no gain, teaching us information its taken you years to research. Ive watched 4 or 5 seminars from you and have learnt lots of valuable information I'll implement into my hobby. So I thank you for your effort and time.
Such a wealth of knowledge being shared thank you for these video's they have been really helpful and the way you explain everything has been real easy and fun to learn from you. I have been using the florescent 6500k and that has really kept the plants from stretching during veg that really helps when growing indoors. Thank you for sharing
Man thanks so much for this and all your videos! This video has increased my understanding of how everything works and has brought all the scattered information I've learned full circle! You have a great way of teaching and making these things understandable, thanks again.
I have watched this video probably 200 times (yeah....I ain't got shit to do but watch plants grow). I always catch something new almost each time I re-watch Harley Smith videos. Today I learned "I NEED TO BACK OF THE POTASSIUM!"(29:48). I frequently have an issue with just a few leaves turn yellow here and there during heavy flowering and I thought it was a Mg deficiency. I now think it's the extra Bloom, PK Boost, and added NPK RAW Potassium I'm feeding my plants during flowering that is giving me a potassium toxicity.
Dont count out shop lights just yet. Lithonia cp high bay shop lights at lowes now has a full spectrum light in either 4000k or 5000k with high blue high red and shockingly higher greens and yellows and oranges. Half the price of a* grow light* all of the benefits. A 200 watt 400 equivalent [18k lumens] will grow 4 medium plants in a 3x3 tent. I've done extensive research, the lights are solid!
We grow corn in the Texas Panhandle. When we first started growing corn after getting my Soil Science degree in the 1960', we were planting after the last frost in April. The experts from the Midwest were giving us bad information. What you said is factual because now we plant around June and make much more yield with shorter season corn and less water per bushels. We are now producing large field average of 17,000 lbs of grain corn per acre beyond what the Midwest can do because of our light spectrum through the season.
Our long season is 119 day corn while our short is 103. We plant the 108 to 111 for max yield. 101 to 103 is what is planted in Wisconsin. The shorter season can be planted to vegetate with blue light in summer to mature when we have more red light and less blue. Our Spring can be hell because of the tremendous amount of solar energy but good for cotton.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom, your dedication, and intelligence. Question: What is a proper PPM of Phosphorous for germination? I'm attempting to mix my own germination formula to increase germination time, I also scarify my seeds, so any information would be helpful thanks.
Thanks Harley.... this is awesome video very easy to understand how plant anatomy and nutrient amandment. I'd love to share this chanel to our group of Indonesian farmer.
Awesome video! Trying to get into a little gardening armed with years-old animal/human physiology background, but very little plant physio knowledge. Video was very helpful. Thank you.
You provide high quality education 👌 .. Thank you so much for the science.. simply the best source I have come across in all my reasearch. University quality !! Cant thank you enough for this learning . 🙏
I have & use ALL the RAW/NPK products ( single elements & all in 1's) + ( grow/bloom microbes) use for all my indoor grows, very potent & you can use so many ways for Tea's, foliars, soil/coco coir drench. outdoor grows i use Down to Earth dry amendments but still make a tea or foliars = kelp, humic acid, compost or worm castings, for seedlings Vita-b very small kelp+ phos+ rhizo's roots love it. HIGHLY recommend using RAW/NPK products to any grower. Amazing products
1st video ive watched on your channel. Really quality info, subbed. Expanding on my comment here towards the end of the video... you sir are the plant messiah, wife learning horticulture and loving the info, myself growing too am a big fan 9f your knowledge. Excellent
hello Dr Harley Smith, can you tell me about the benefits of putting kitchen waste into my yard? I am talking specifically about liquid waste, like.. the water you boil potatoes, corn, etc in the juice from a pickle jar excess fats? Do these have a benefit to putting on plants?
I am a grower and new to NPK-University and the RAW product line. I also have a concrete sequential learning style. Learn the basics an build upon them systematically. I like to begin at the beginning and progress systematically. Is there a recommended order in which to view these videos or do I just jump in, kick my arms and legs around and try to learn to swim? Advanced thanks.
Probably complete Plant Nutrition gives the most broad overview on nutrients in general. I'd watch that first, then all the others in no particular order.
NPK Industries Hello! Ive been a dedicated student to npk -university and just finished my matser growers final exam, can you please help direct me to someone that i can submit my test too. i got a little bit confused. Thank you so much , im glad to say i passed with a 90% just want to turn it in before the end of the month. thank you!
If you make your own wormcasting tea and feed that to your plants often - you don’t have to worry with about 99% of what this guy is teaching. And for pest control just use a garlic and hot pepper spray - see the dirt doctor for the recipe.- cheers
24:43 id love to know how you feel about VPD recommending people 65-70% RH at 25 degrees C, they stick humidifiers into their grow rooms to follow some VPD chart they have literally no idea what it means or why they follow it, just the internet said so..
Compose I knew even before I heard about the different components that not all materials are the same and 30 to 70 ratio don't produce the same outcome in the compost pile. For instants, coffee ground produces more acid in the compose where other ingredients are more bacteria compose and even others make more fungi compose. Some plants need fungi compose where others needs a more bacteria compose. Oh, by the way, I'm 66 years old so going back to school is out of the question. Is there a book I can borrow from the library that can break these components down for dummies or old folks like myself? Thank you for sharing It is always interesting to hear about good soil
Hello. Regarding UV lighting. Any recommendations on placement or distance from the plant and how much time. I would like to supplement with UV light tubs.
Good morning fr the Philippines! Cutflower growers in the mountain areas north of Manila (Benguet Province & Mountain Province) uses fluorescent lights or ordinary light bulbs. Is this correct? What kindbof light is emitted to the plants? Much thanks!
Hi Mr Smith! Great video, I have a question relating to water soluble magnesium oxide. The nutrient im using says it contains water soluble magnesium oxide, yet i am fully aware that MgO is definitely not soluble in water. What do they mean when they say this product contains 8% water soluble magnesium oxide? Are they trying to be sneaky and using a chelated Mg that is water soluble? What are your thoughts? Thanks so much :)
England says High. Thanks for the lectures.Just watched the one with the info and Amino Acids.I got a bottle of the new Amino Treament from House and Garden, the Dutch Nutrient Company although I mostly use Advanced.Their Roots XL is a product Iv used for a number of years with amazing results.Matey who owns Advanced Nutrients has done a YT post raving about it saying its better than his rooting products.Says an awful lot.
