I am a central employee, I want to invest in NPS in LC 50. Will my first deposited investment also come in LC 50 or from here onwards the investment will be made in LC 50 only.
Varun Sir, Hatsoff for this vedio, am a banker, regarding NPS till yesterday I was confused, But after watching this vedio really thankfull to you. Pls continue your good work and STAY BLESSED ALWAYS SIR.... Subscriber from Kerala....❤
You both have Nps Account ?? Ye biikul bakwas h Marne k bt hi mlega apka pura Paisa nh toh kbi nh mlega...mje b ese hi mil rha h...Iam experience person... Aaplog hawa mey bol rha h...
When you invest in NPS, Investor will definitely save 5%, 20%, 30% directly for their respective brackets..So it's directly savings this much amount if you are in higher brackets
Pension / retirement is culturally constructed. Mentally We all have to be inclined in gaining productive in our finances. I don’t plan working when I can’t be productive at my 50s. I enjoy being productive and financially enabled.
Yeah I do, my partnership with Charles alen has given me an opportunity to test new rewarding revenue, new earning methods but above all, his services has helped in the transformation of my finances.
Is there a difference in opening NPS through ETMoney vs through a bank/nps portal. What happens if apps like ETMoney are no longer supported in future. This question is for mutual fund also and how to track if an app dies. Kudos to you to bring financial literacy to normal people.
Till date the only person who share wisdom. No sell speach only knowledge sharing. Please teach us on new Tax regime too. It only has NPS exemption now. #Part 5 :)
Honest advice... very few give this type of advice. The moral is don't become greedy... Lead simple life put ur money in such a place which can be easily managed and if any unforeseen happens to u ur family can also manage it without any trouble.

Especially now after seeing this pandemic and stock market volatility, I'm happy to go with NPS to have 1. tax free eturns 2. discipline 3. serious about my pension after 60 years :)
Thanks a lot Varun jee for educating us . The best part I like is that whatever you teach is without any bias & without mincing any word. Thanks once again & keep it up. God Bless You......

Varun Malhotra Hi, Pls help to provide video on Liquid fund..like exactly kese work karta hai? Kya hum normal saving a/c Mai deposit kartey hai vesehi deposit Kar saktey hai Kya? &Best 3 liquid fund etc... Thx:)
You are a masterpiece person. Lot of knowledge, highly applicable, down to earth, helpful, clarity of thoughts, simplicity. Many good wishes and regards.
Varun sir. Thanks for the detail information. So many doubts got cleared. I have few questions. I see still one needs to pay 18% GST for any NPS contribution. So for a contribution of 50K one would pay 9000 annually for GST. Is this calculation factors in that also. Also, what happens if the NPS contributor meets death before the age of retirement which is 60. Will nominee get any benefits? Will nominee be able to withdraw the money immediately or nominee will have to wait for the maturity?
I am an IT employee. Couple of questions here: 1. Can tier 2 NPS be shown as tax investment. 2. What percentage of invested amount should be there for EQUITY, CORPORATE and GOVERMENT for tier 1 and tier 2.
Dear sir, what category merchant navy persons should select " NRI or Indian citizen"? Please clear the doubts. 1) If i select "NRI" then i have to select other country but i am living in india only. 2) If i select "Indian citizen" then i have NRE account only. Now what should i select for NPS registration??
Your explanation always helps Sir. Started investing in index funds after watching your well explained videos. I invest in NPS as well for a long time, as I have the option wherein my employer also contributes 10 percent of basic salary if I invest in it. Thank you.
@@VarunMalhotraEIFS Plz somebody help ----I resigned from central govt .service 2014..Currently my nps balance is 513455....But last few days ,I am noticing that everyday the amount is increasing by 1-2k(aporox.) ..Now my queation is whether it would be right call to withdraw the amout now or I should wait for further so that tje amount increases as it is increasing now. My second question is how do I know my basic corpus amout & whether it is a fixed amout which is taken into condideration if I opt to withdraw right now or later....
Hi, after watching all the videos it’s very clear about NPS. All my struggles end here after eating your videos. I have one question. I understood that I can open nps account by visiting NSDL web site our via bank. Which is the better way to open the account? If I go via bank then do they charge some commission from my contribution and then send balance amount to NPS?
I am regular nps investor since last 7 years. Now I am 48. Being balanced risk profile, I have kept Equity as 50%. Xirr is 9.92 overall so far. Do you have suggestions for balance 50% for better returns. Currently its 30 corporate and 20 government bonds.
Like ppf returns ,nps returns are now 100% tax free but with mutual funds, after 1L,we have 10% tax on returns..Also with low expense ratio, nps is more attractive now
@Varun Malhotra ~ Sir Great video series. Hats off ! I have few doubts. Please answer this. (1) I am a private employee who is 30 year old. If I decided to go abraod after 5 years or so. Can I continue to invest in NPS ? (2) What happens if one of the NPS providers say ICICI becomes bankrupt in these 30 years?
Great videos sir,, still one doubt persists please clarify 1-I am a PSB employee,, I don't have a PRAN/NPS A/C,,,. if suppose want to take benefit under 80(CCD1B), I will have to open an NPS A/c and will have to invest mandatorily in Tier-1 only,, Yes or No 2- As I m voluntarily contributing towards NPS and not through my employer so minimum time for completion of the NPS scheme will be at the age of 60 only and not linked with retirement age of PSB job?? YES/NO
Varunji really appreciate your support. But here you had educated us and confused us on whether we should invest in Annuity or NPS or Index funds. Please help..
Very good series. But I think the FD calculations are not appropriate. As the FD interest rates will keep on falling, making it very bad over long term
Depends on the tax bracket u r falling in. For higher tax bracket, take Max exposure of equity as option in early ages to accumulate wealth with seeing it as compulsory savings with additional benefit of tax saving.
Awasome details explanation. But i have one query, pls help me to understand. Can i purchase different annuity plans to diversify risk & cover the max benefits from only one Pension amount ? Say if i have 30 lacs final amount then can i purchase three different annuity plans like 1) First 10 lacs- annuity plan where only pension user will get pension maximum approx 9% no benefit for nominees. 2) Second 10 lacs - annuity plan where pension user will get apporx 7.5% but after that nominee will get same 7.5% pension 3) last 10 lacs '- Annuity plan where pension user will get approx 6.5% plus after that nominee also get & final amount also paid to last nominee.
Sir, Kindly consider the revised rates of annuity after 30 years, Surely these will changes with interest rates scenario of country. Rate of annuity depends upon time of buying the product and these are almost replicate rate of bank fds at that time.
Awesome research and guidance video sir !! Please keep it up !! We loved your videos, it gives lot of education !! Looking for more such investment video from you sir !!
Sir, please clarify whether ATAL pension Yojana and NPS are same or different ? And is ATAL pension Yojana eligible for 80ccd (1b ) exemption under CBDT ?
In NPS scheme can we invest irregularly, like first year I invest 1000,second year 3000,third year 1000,fourth year nil . Can I invest lumsum amount once in 2 yrs .
Sir Thanks for this good explanation.Pl guide on 3 queries: 1.If I am getting some money from rent then I can Open nps account in any Bank? 2.Like ppf whether it affects the return if depositing period is start of fin.year or end? 3.If we have APY then we can have nps too or not?
1. There is no link between the two, you can open NPS account if you are Indian and between the age of 18-65 2. Not sure but can check NPS site for detail 3. Yes, We can buy both schemes
Thank you very much for ur videos sir. They are very informative. Please let us know more about ACTIVE and AUTO mode. Also please guide us in which ratio we need to allocate funds in active mode.
Could you please showcase mathematical calculation between EPS vs NPS ? And suggest which is the most beneficial for annuity income! Thanks in advance :)
My query is, we are working out the annuity based on present interest rates what if after 30 years the interest rate in India go to near zero rate like in Japan. Then annuity will be of new use...How to tackle such low interest regime and get a decent pension or annuity. Thanks!
Sir, if a private sector employee wants to retire early suppose at 54 then NPS makes it compulsory to buy annuity of 80% of the corpus. Isn't it a negative point? Shouldn't this change?
we cannot assume anything like you said, NPS scheme is minimum upto 60 years , you cannot withdraw before that except some cases, and if you want to retire at 54 or before 60 you will have to rely on other source of fund.
Main abhi 24 year hun. NPS main lock in feature mast hi. Nifty main sip to chal rahi hi. Par plan har saal change ho jaata hi. Kabi greed Kabi fear. Isse liye NPS LIYA hi .. pls bataye theek kiya ke nahi
Sir, Kindly suggest me at the time retirement, 40% to be taken for annuity. That time return rate on annuity may be different let's say 5%. Accordingly pension amount will be chosen. Right sir
In case of non-government (private) investor, at the time of withdrawal from tier 2 account, is whole amount withdrawn (principal + ROI) taxable or only ROI? Is taxability is based on individual's applicable tax slab?
Hi, it possible to invest only 50k in a year for NPS and get tax benefit under 80CCD1? I don't want to put additional 1.5 lakh in NPS for 80c because I have other tax saving option to show u der 80c.
Varun... could you please make a Vedio on EPS pension and the impact of supreme Court's decision on it..will all the private employee get half of last basic salary as pension??
Sir - 1-Future mein fd rates agar increase hue fir bhi annuity increase nahi hogi…lets not only talk about decrease. 2-You will get same pension on first year of retirement and 20th year after retirement. Pension will loose it 75% value after 20 years…
Is it advisable to deposit some retirement fund to NPS at age of 60 ? What will happened to total corpus at age 70 ? Total amount will be refunded or 60% + Annuity plan compulsory ?
As you said that interest rates of FD might reduce, i want to understand then in such scenarios what is the surety that annuity interest rates won’t get reduced ???
@@VarunMalhotraEIFS Thank you Varun Sir, for putting your tremendous efforts and time in explaining NPS in detail. We all are very thankful to you. As you replied, Annuity plans return rates are locked and that's what they are mandated to do. When we will purchase Annuity that time it will fixed and continue throughout the life. We got this. But what Akash is trying to ask is today's FD rate is 8% and in your video you said it can be 5% after 30 years, which is absolutely true. Similarly, the return rate for Annuity we considered at 7.28% as of today, can it also get reduced in 30 years when we will be ready to buy the Annuity ? 2) By any chance, do you know what was the Annuity return rate when NPS was launched ? is it still the same or has it changed ?
@@amarmundankar here sir has taken an example if somebody is retiring now, thing is that annuity rates and fd rates are quite similar, and i will be same in near future as it cannot happen that Fd rates go high in future and annuity rates go low, at the maximum we can assume that they both will remain same, but the point which sir is trying to convey is that when a person have to choose between annuity and fd , at that time opting for annuity is good because it get locked on selection and will provide same return till death , but while taking fd we cannot lock interest or return for future atleast not more than 5 years. FD will be beneficial as compare to annuity only if FD rates would be way higher than annuity rates at the time of selection which is probably not going to happen
At present I am contributing 2000 to nps account tier 1, Can I change my monthly contribution to 5000 from this month? And how to change monthly contribution at nps??
Varun thanks for all the knowledge shared. It helped a lot in understanding the market. I request to kindly make a video for comparison between nps tier 2 and multiple cap / index funds.
Thank you Sir There is no reason to compare because both are for different purposes. NPS is only for Tax saving purposes, while Index funds can be used for wealth creation, financial planning, retirement planning etc. Thank You EIFS Team
@@VarunMalhotraEIFS sir there is no tax savings in tier 2, it is at par with other MF. The return in tier 2 has been good for some time now and hence request for a comparison with multi cap / index fund
What I don't understand is any person who is having a tax slab of 5 percentage now would be moving on to 30 percentage during 30 years assuming that he doesn't lose his job? The tax slab at the stage of retirement is what is considered ryt? So is it advisable for a person with a 30 percentage tax slab?
Amazing video Varun Sir, I have one query After exhausting all the tax saving benefit schemes(PPF, NPS), is it advisable to invest in VPF. Like current VPF contribution is 12% of base salary, should we increase it more as there is no tax on the returns.
You can but their is tax if you contribute above 2.5 lacs in a yr. Money is also locked till retirement and you get 8.65 percent as return. We can opt for elss funds which have 3 yrs lock in and around 12% returns.
annutiy plan ka interest rate change nahin hoga kya? I think that will also change according to time.. so you reduced the FD rate of money withdrawn from nifty but you took the same rates for annuity scheme.. Seems wrong to me ?
Dear sir, I am 33 year old working in private company comes under 30% tax slab and want to retire/quit job at age of 40. In this case, is it right choice to invest in NPS? Do I need to invest 50K after my retirement (at age of 40) up to age of 60? Please guide me. Thank you.
