To find our member units: Once on the NR website home page (link above). Click on the ‘Member Units’ tab at the top of the page. Click on the underlined name of the unit to access their website where you can contact them to join the ranks and become a Civil War Reenactor.

Ted, as a woman can I be a member of the military company? Was told no a few years ago based on a NR rule that women were not allowed to portray soldiers. Hope this rule has since changed as it violates title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights act if demonstrations are done on National or State park sites. Thank you.

Audrey, during the Civil War many woman served under the Army of the Potomac, disguised as men. The rule that your stating does violate the 1964 Civil Rights Act. However I don't speak for the entire regiment, I'm just stating a fact.
