Great video and enjoy all of your series. I've owned all of these and they all sound great! That being said if I were shopping today would have to go with the Kenwood due to the fact that it can still be serviced. None available for JRC or Drake. As for the best on the table.....I would say the Drake, as it's only weakness is the tuning encoder, as they are prone to fail with age.....but are readily available in eBay ( cheap ). Loved the JRC 515 and was my favorite old school receiver. and bought a mint used one in Dallas many years ago for $100 at Texas Towers.....they knew nothing about it. Love all of the later JRC receivers but once the florescent readouts fail they are kaput.....no replacements available according to the NRD-JRC people. Your reviews are absolutely the best.....thanks!
Nice Video! BTW, do you have Lightning protection on your antenna system?? 256K upstream and 256K Downstream was BLAZING FGAST!!!! LOL, those good old days. BTW, I worked with Motorola to develop the first ever cable TV modem!!! They could not figure out how to make it work, but I showed them how to do it!!! 🙂 AND!!!!!!!!! Nice Matt on top of your desk!!!
