The question about sex was so stupid that it made me drop the balls i don't have, as women say in italian slang. But it's good that it was posed, so that Tuomas could prove a deep and sensitive person with intelligent opinions!
You have Nightwish to interview... And you ask them about sex? What the hell were they thinking about? Tuomas being asked if he is gay... what next? Asking Marco if he ever participated in Viking raids? This was an attack to Nightwish.
That interviewer was very poorly prepared and asked very tacky and lousy questions. Good thing Tuomas kept his composure well, despite what he was being asked.
So let me get this straight, you have the pleasure and privilege of meeting and having a musical mastermind before you; you can ask him any questions you wish, and you end up asking him about old topics he obviously does not wish to rehash; and on top of that you ask him about sex? What the hell?!
i don't think tuomas is DEVESTATED by loosing tarja, he just wanted to move on from the whole ordeal and needs people to get over it, cause if people keep going on about it, how much harder is it going to make things for the band! nightwish is not about tarja and some people need to get that straight. she was one member of the band, and now nightwish is moving on from that part, and starting fresh.
he thinks like me...i love how human tuomas, anette, and tarja are compared to the majority of other bands, and im glad that he sees the typical rocker ideology as a hollow waste of time, which means of course they will keep making real music and probably wont become sellouts
What a rude thing to say: "so you've been living under a rock?" ugh! I loved their answers about the sex thing. I find the whole thing a pick pocket racket for suckers. I think he is too deep to lower himself into that shallow grave. Anette also said something I concur with about the objectification of women's bodies. Very decent people. Maybe I will move to Finland.
months and years cause their are still people judgeing anette and want tarja back, If you don't love nightwish because of tuomas, marco, emppu, jukka and only care about tarja you are not a nightwish fan. Im glad of the honesty of anette and I'm glad she choose metal above pop.
Go Tuomas! Nice to see his opinion on strip bars and that. I always figured he was a romantic! If people don't think Anette was likeable, well, some of those questions weren't exactly likeable. :P The interviewer got what she gave!
ahh! i have watched this interview sooo many times and i never tire of hearing tuomas say "i like girls" and "boobs" just cracks me up! makes me giggle like a little school girl! girl i am, but no longer school girl, but that doesn't mean i have matured...tee hee hee! he said...boobs! lol
Reply to horse2244 Yeah, Idk what the interveiwer said after Anette said "I'm so open about these things." but after she finished singing, they both said "Thank you" and the interveiwer said, "You think she might just pass, don't you?" and Tuomas replied, "I think she just might make it."

@matotuHELL she said how that she had no wonders about sex, but she thought if she said she didin't have any wonders that people would think she had done anything. At the end the interviewer asks "you think she might just pass don't you?" and tuomas replies "i think she just might make it"
Poor interwiew by that journalist but still they kept their cool. Now Nightwish really sounds fresh, they were starting to repeat themselves on a couple of latest albums with Tarja. Best of luck to Tarja on your own career. Tuomas is a genius songmaker but the way he (or the band on whole) expired Tarja by public letter was cowardish.
Okay I just learned about Nightwish because theyre not too big in canada and i love their music, it doesnt matter which singer . they are awesome. But i have no idea what is going on why did Tarja leave? she was awesome
She got kicked in November 2005 due to a lot of problems of her with the other band members, mostly related with the decisions of her manager and husband Marcelo Cabuli
Tarja, Anette and Floor are awesome vocalists. Talking about albums i prefer Tarja and Anette era, i love Floor but its albums with Nightwish are a bit shit (specially Human :||: Nature), Floor has a big talented singer: High notes, low notes, lyrical notes, growls... She can do whatever She want to sing: since Pop to Power Metal or Metalcore. Tuomas isn't leveraging Floor's voice
@helskadi1 It is frustrating, how they have chosen her. And i agree that the decision was based on looks more than anything. I auditioned for the new line up. I sing very similar to Tarja. But i am heavy. And was told that they wern't looking for another classical singer. Thanks but No Thanks!!!! AND iv been a Nightwish fan for years. :)

what she shouldn't do is try to sing their old songs in which only tarja's voice can be recognised. other than that, i like dark passion play, they continue to be successful

im not sure, he was entirely sincere about the sex and strip bars. . . maybe he doesn't own porn. But it could be a ploy, reverse psycology. I don't enjoy being in strip bars would make a large number of young women say he mightn't like being in bars but i bet he will like me :) , i mean im only speculating. but its the cheeky grin as he is saying it all. Don't get me wrong I love Toumas, and Nightwish, he is a genius and very beautiful.
He simply doesn't like it. Anyways it is respectless to buy for Sex or other Things. That is shady. I respect that he is not behinde that Concept. I bet he prefers intimacy with a Partner instead of fast Highs with unknown naked Women. Thank good he is ehm .. decent. Or whatever you may describe it.

He's basically doing all these interviews that turn out to be pointless and stupid. Poor Tuomas. XD Also, does anyone know the name of the book he wrote? And is it possible to buy it in the USA? Tuomas is a coward because there was no need to treat Tarja like he did, there are other ways to solve the problems, Nightwish died, now they're just clowns.
